A Xanax Addicted Nation's Awakening

Empty life is only concerned with those spirits who have none left to give. It's disturbing how many people view that their life is meaningless. There's depression, there's so many psychological disorders. Yet, how do we dwell with these things? Through song, through poetry. No, but we put these disorders to the test with medicines. With everything under the sun, but forget our basic happiness factors. Family, friends, love, just surviving another day. It's like...we can't live without popping our pills, taking that last swipe of a drink some call absinthe, other's call home. It's sick how people are living their lives, but does it concern anyone else?1

For instance, when you are on a train to some big city, do you notice the girl with the silent ears in her eye? No, you're too busy on your damn Xanax trip. You're too busy wanting to be something better, without realizing that that opportunity is right before you. There's too much in life to give up to claim that you're depressed. There's a Higher Power, a family to expect. So, tell me now, does depression truly exist? Yes. But we're using all the wrong solutions. All the right lies. And all the masquerade masks. It's terribly beautiful, if you think of it as a puppet show. Terribly frightening as well, if one views themselves as a marionette. Then life is empty. Then is it that were are subhuman. 2

Drug addicts are completely different people than the rest of us. They have the same feelings, but let it churn until their only hope is a bottle, a simple pill, and a day of contentment. It's the only song that they can sing along to. It's the only way they know. But, are we, the normal people, truly... all that all-knowing? Are we even god damn omnipotent? No. We are not, but we fail to realize this. Even those in associative and direct positions do not have the same rights as God does. God can create and destroy. God can uphold and crush those who deserve such a treatment due to such a tremendous crime. It's then when we realize that we're not in control of our lives at all.
We're just not realizing that there's further gifts out there. We're not following the path, not getting the memo, that no matter what we do, we're living our lives. Therefore, an empty life is impossible. We can't do nothing, we're always doing something. And wouldn't you rather be doing something that's so beautiful, so correlated with His work and grace, that the life He's given you is finally worth it? Is truly celebrated? All I can wish for myself, for my family and peers, and for my future persons, that I celebrate this grace extensively. All I can do is go through the notions of the life that God wishes for me to celebrate and share.
