Title: 21 Dead1
Summary:
There is a serial killer lose in unnamed city. He kills 21 people within 21 days. He releases letters to each of his victims several weeks before the murders begin warning them of the events to come. He also includes that any of the people to go to the police about this will be killed immediately and replaced on the killer's list.2
He has already committed this series of murders one year prior to the setting of this story and the police have not caught him. He leaves no clues and there are never any witnesses. There is no relation between each of the victims, no relation between age, sex, ethnic background, nothing. The seemingly perfect murderer.3
I don't want to ruin anything for you, so I won't tell you any of the idea's I have about the ending or any of the secrets of the murderer.4
A slightly edited and shortened excerpt:
Nathaniel accepted that he was going to die and refused to allow the murderer the joy of watching him live in fear. He lived his life as normal and allowed nothing in his life to change.5
This morning, he woke up and realized he stood on top of his house. His hands were bound and there was a noose around his neck. He realized he must have been drugged in his sleep, but why would the killer only drug him and not just kill him?6
Nathaniel then heard soft footsteps behind him. He turned his head as best he could, the drugs in his body still making it difficult to move well.7
"Well look who it is," Nathaniel said as casually as if he had met an old friend on the street. "I would have guessed it was you if I hadn't thought you were dead already."8
The murderer's face became twisted with rage at how his victim was treating his own death.9
"Well are we going to do this already?" Nathaniel practically screamed. The murderer was completely shocked, this man was actually welcoming his own death.10
"Fine if you won't do it, I will." Nathaniel turned back and awkwardly jumped from the roof of the building. This broke the murderer out of his confused trance.11
"Number seven," There was a sickening snap as the rope was pulled taught and Nathaniel's neck broke.12
"Dead."13
(I end every chapter the same way. The murderer says the victims number and then 'dead'. All the victims also see the murderer and recognize him before they finally die.)
Author notes
I've written the first seven deaths, but I'm running low on ideas of how to kill the people in the story. Have any suggestion? Send them to me and I will greatly appreciate it.

I would totally go to the police anyway. Assuming that the media has reported about this serial killer before, the person receiving the letter would realize that they were gonna be killed anyway. Why not go to the police and make an effort to keep the murder from happening.
Great seen with N. Very affective. I like this idea, too. Most people behave, sadly, "sheeplike" when it comes to danger. The serial killer could only profit from that.
As for interesting deaths... I've always been scared by the old native american torture system wherein they bury a person up to their neck in an anthill. Friggin horrible way to die.
Great idea. -

Well, it's not so simple. When they go to the police, they die on the spot and another person will be killed as well.
That's a good idea for how to kill one of the people. I'll see what I can do with it. Thanks

Suggestions of good ways to kill people? I'm all out of those ones

Good Idea!
Once it's all put into context and worded properly this could turn out as a very promising story.
"(I end every chapter the same way. The murderer says the victims number and then 'dead'. All the victims also see the murderer and recognize him before they finally die.)"
Excellent idea, make a very good thriller story and with the right amount of description a creepy horror
Good Idea and Good Luck!
