Tick... Another second rushed by. I stood on the tiled floor, watching the clock. My fingers trembled. I don't remember ever being so nervous.I started to pace, everything began to swirl around me. All I could think about was if something went wrong. My breathing hastened as I paced back and forth. I stopped and stared up at the clock. '12:51' I cursed under my quick breaths. It had only been 5 minutes since I last checked. At one point time had seemed to be flying by but now it felt so still as if to only prolong the suspense. I went and sat down to cool my heated body but the rush of my blood did not cease. I started to count as my insanity grew to the brink of my mind. When I hit ten, as if by fate a man ,in a green plastic apron, walked up to me with a smile. He said, "Congratulations, twins."

This is so suspenseful, I love how you saved the reason this character was so nervous until the end, it made you want to keep reading to find out...good job and good luck in my contest, I love this!

Well Done.
Nicely written. Short, but strong. Wonderful way to describe such a moment. Enjoyed it! THanks for entering. Durian.
