The plane rose higher, higher. The fear of flying erupted into horrible terror. Jaylyn sat stiff and straight, praying that the plane would go back down, praying, that it would be soon.1

The seat-belt sign went off, and Jaylyn hardly noticed. She was trying to close her mind, trying to ease her fear. The plane, god how she hated to fly.2

The man sitting next to her turned, and smiled. He was in his twenties, blonde hair, and blue eyes. He wore glasses that seemed to disappear in his pale complexion. He held her hand, and whispered in her ear. "it will be alright. We are safe up here, you should calm down"3

Jaylyn ripped her hand from the man's cold touch, and whispered so quietly, the man had to lean close to hear. "Leave me be" She closed her eyes, wishing sleep would overtake her. 5

The plane jolted, waking Jaylyn from her long sought after sleep. The plane jolted again, again. Her heat raced. She had known something bad would happen, she had just known...7

The seat belt sign flashed on again, and the stewardess spoke to the passengers, telling them of the capitan's decision. Jaylyn felt tears slip beneath her lids. She had always known...9

The jolting continued for sometime, and it continued to worsen. 12

Suddenly, the plane angled down, steep, and Jaylyn knew this was the end, she knew that death would overtake her.14

She heard the scraping of metal, before her world was doused in darkness.15

She woke with a start. Today was the day she would finally visit her mother. She shook herself, swearing it was only a dream, she drove to the airport.18

Two days later, the news flashed on. Jaylyn's mother cried as she saw the story of the plane crash. Her daughter's name flashed onto the screen. Her daughter was dead.21
