James Bailey is known for giving good solid advice, However, he is terrified of the snake. Say you are having financial problems, and you ask James for advice.

Which means do not live above your means. He is always saying this. He is an eighty-year old African-American man. He is tall, splendor, light-skinned. He was born in Bayton, Missouri. He had two brothers and three sisters(they are deceased).
Now this man would never miss Sunday school. He sits on the Deacon Board of his church.
He loves to listen to his gospel music of Mighty Clouds of Joy in the Rock on his ancient Motorola record player, singing along with his favorite choruses and tapping his boot on the floor. He also loves to lie in his bed and watch western movies on t.v. If a snake comes on the tube, he jumps 1
up and runs, or makes this eerie noise"iawiaw"with the cover over his head.2
If there are other people in the house,they wonder what is wrong with him. The family knows what's up. We just tell them "Oh, that's dad he saw a snake on the t.v." And we all just laugh. 3

The information you gave us about the character was incredibly short. and straight forward. and blunt. like this. and I found it a little boring to read that section. Your punctuation needs a little work, especially in the first paragraph.
Also, is there anymore to this? There is no storyline whatsoever... I am wondering if this is just a small piece of a larger story.
