For each Warrior, a purpose. 2
For each purpose, a plan. 3
A deep breath, a simple thought, and one warrior flies to his grave, his purpose complete, his plan fulfilled. 4
A glimpse of black, a hole in a hole, a life well spent. 5
Nine there are now, clad in brass armor, waiting patiently for their purpose. 6
A fidget, a blink, and yet again, a warrior flies swiftly to his grave, his purpose too, complete. His plan fully fulfilled. 7
A glimpse through the glass. Two holes now, in a hole, two brothers laid in their grave. Two lives well spent indeed.8
Eight Brass clad warriors, standing solidly, no thoughts, no breaths, just waiting. 9
Two more fly, to their graves on wings of fire and smoke, through the hole, and to their graves. 10
Through the glass, a pattern appears. One hole. Four holes. Four brothers laid near. 11
Somewhere, there’s a plan. Somehow, the ten plans have become one. Somehow, ten purposes are still ten, yet also one. 12
Six shining warriors, clad in armor of brass, standing in formation, now broken, but purposefully so. Without breath, without tremble or flinch, they await their deaths.13
A deeper breath now, a simple pulse, rising and falling. A thought of black, and yet again, warriors take flight. 6 this time, all that remain, find their flaming wings and blast forth, destined for death, but with purposes. With a purpose. 14
Ten brassen warriors were there, ten standing in a square. Without breath, thought, or even life, they awaited their death. Without deviation, they embraced the grave. Ten holes in a hole, ten brothers laid together. 15
A gasp, a squint through the glass. 16
Indeed.
Author notes
alright, i'm going to go ahead and spill it: i'm talking about shooting. ten bullets, brass cases, lead bullets. each has an individual purpose. you must approach each shot as though it is completely independant, yet the overall goal is one target. deep, controlled breathing is a vital part of proper shooting. exhale halfway and hold it. if the trigger is properly set, it shouldn't take a conscious movement to fire, just kinda think about it, and it happens, you know? after the shot, you use a scope to check the target. the target is white, with a black circle, it almost looks like a hole. a hole in a hole is the bullet-hole in the bull. you keep the bullets in a block with holes, typically in a square, so you can keep track of your shots. so there it is, explained away to simple reality.
In a list
what did you think of this honestly?
