Over the next week we prepared for our trip together. Some crazy honeymoon! 1
We experienced the customary flight delays and other joys of international travel, but finally, we arrived at the foot of Mount Khuiten four days later in the late afternoon. We had reservations for the Three Camel Lodge which I had construed to be a "proper" hotel as I knew it. Not so. There was a main structure made of wood called "the lodge"; a communal area. The sleeping facilities consisted of individual round yurts, or more correctly, gers, resting on stone foundations and connected by stone walkways. The traditional furniture and appointments were beautifully decorated and each dwelling had a wood-burning stove. I loved the rustic simplicity of the place. The only disadvantage was that the showers were in the main lodge. 2
After settling in and having dinner we went out for a walk in the moonlight. Extremely cold! As soon as we were out of sight of the lodge we shape changed to dragon form and then the cold was no longer an issue. We had our inner heat to keep us warm! 3
Mating is instinctive. Nobody had ever taught me what to do. I just knew. The dragon mating ritual is a kind of foreplay. First comes the flight and chase. Swooping through the mountains, high and low, I tried to escape while my Dragon Lord pursued. Impossible! I was fast but he was a lot faster! I then shot up into the sky and he followed close behind. When we reached the top of Mount Khuiten we circled around and around, locked our talons and went down in free fall, diving head first. This was the momentous occasion of our first dragon kiss! The clicking of the horns; the twining of the tongues... We let go of each other just in time when we had come dangerously close to the ground and shot up into the sky once more. This time my Dragon Lord led. We flew even higher and circled again, twirling fire, and dove back down in free fall. As we let go of each other we roared and the ground shook! We repeated our dance one last time and landed safely on the ground. 4
Back in human form, we quietly returned to get our things to go shower. When we walked over to the main lodge, there was a group of people puzzling over a sonic boom they had heard... We couldn't help smiling! After showering, we returned to our ger. The moment for our union had finally arrived!5
Now you must understand that I feel a natural shyness in speaking of these things, but since what happened is so meaningful, so important, and so special, I would like the whole world to know what happened in that isolated corner of Inner Mongolia. 6
Lord Pyr and I are no less human for being Dragon Lord and Dragon Lady and so there were tender kisses and caresses that slowly but surely became wildly passionate with another kind of fire... When we were ready for the joining of our bodies we lay on our sides facing each other and he led me to embrace his torso with my legs. So joined, top and bottom, we placed each other's right hands on each other's hearts in preparation for the moment when we would mingle our souls to form an indestructible bond. 7
Then, as we galloped away, my Dragon Lord became a Black Hole and I willingly surrendered to his irresistible force of gravity. He engulfed me and we became compressed into a point-sized, super-dense, zero-dimension singularity that burst forth with a big bang!8
Here is the mystery; the strange but elegant mathematics of true love: One plus one equals one. This is the union that brings forth a new universe. 9

I love that ending, especially the dragon dance X3 I find it rather cute, the chasing and all, like some romantic couple playing with one and another =3

Chuckles...
...I sense your other readers were panting for a little erotica, pleased you did not satisfy them.
I personally think you could end the story here, perhaps you did, but after the vision quest chapter, there really is very little left for you to do besides tying up loose ends or setting the foundation for book two?
Wonderful write!

i loved it
i liked how it gave a hole new way to live and think. thanks. -
This was a bit strange. I wish you had described the ritual a bit more, but apart from that, it was really good
Finally they are together, and the romance is here. Please write more, as I love the series. -
Well,
A romantic ending, a new universe created, this all seems beautiful. I felt a little disappointed. There had been such interesting discussions about life leading up to this chapter, that I expected more. I think I was hoping for something more tangible. Well, on the whole, I felt that this was very good and extremely well written.

I surrender!
For awhile there, I thought I might be up to the task of comprehending and reviewing the concept being expressed by this story but I doubt that anyone is.
Initially, I thought I was reading a simple story about a common dream coming true, sort of winning the lottery. Then, it got much more complicated and finally, it involved everything and all my mental fuses blew.
The limitations of my mind prevent me from fully comprehending the idea presented here to say nothing of critiquing it.
I will say that the narrow examples contained in the ritual quest do not nearly encompass the concept. It is a bit like seeing something too tremendous to put into words.
Sorry,
Lou
