'Maybe this time,' she thought to herself. 'I would really make a good moderator.' 2
She couldn't understand why she had been turned down when she applied before. She was over 18, been on Storywrite for more than 6 months, never had a rule violation, and she was certain she could work within Storywrite Policy. It baffled her that she was not immediately wanted for the position.3
4
Her application this time read:5
"I know Site Policy, Chatterbox rules, and the Site rules. I love to read good stories and always offer corections and suggestions to those who can't write desent stories. I promise to ban my friends as well as those who aren't. I won't play favorites. I've been a member of Storywrite for more than six months. I really like to read and I right really good stuff. I'm over 18 and very maturely for my age. I've never broken Storywrite rules or policies, and I wouldn't hesitate to ban those who do, even if they are my freinds. I think I'd be extreamly good at being a moderator. Thanks for your concidoration."6
7
She began to think about the things she would do as a moderator. First off, people would look up to her because she was a mod and they would have to do what she said. She had already started a list of Storywrite members she would ban. Mostly those who had given her stories bad reviews, and there had been quite a few. The other moderators, and especially Kevin, would be impressed with all the people she would ban. Nobody would get away with anything when she became a moderator.8
She would also be able to fine and give people points. Knowing that it was important to maintain a balance, she intended to give as many points as she fined. It was important to be fair. She would also be a fair contest judge. Naturally her friends were better writers than most of the writers at Storywrite. 9
She also knew practically everything there was to know about Storywrite. She was prepared to answer any question that might come up. Kevin would be pleased with all she knew. Also, she would be good at telling the greeters what to do. Shoot! After a month or so as a moderator, they'd probably make her a moderator manager, too.10
Studying each of the moderators, she began to plot a strategy to get on as a moderator. The problem, as she saw it, was that there were just too many moderators.11
There was to be a convention for the Storywrite members and that seemed to be a good opportunity to carry out her plans. She would find some way to eliminate the moderators, all of them at the same time. 'Brilliant!' she thought to herself.12
She started messaging the moderators to find out which were their favorite cookies. Being an excellent cookie baker, some called her the cookie monster, she planned to make cookies for all the moderators. The cookies had your standard ingredients plus a little special something. Smiling and singing as she made the cookies, she was so pleased with herself.13
Using metal cookie boxes she had purchased for the purpose, wearing latex gloves to avoid getting prints on them, she carefully put the metal containers in Fed-Ex boxes and addressed each to the respective moderator. She used Kevin's name and address for the return address. Her plan seemed foolproof. The cookies were to be delivered to the hotel where the convention was taking place.14
The storywrite convention came and the moderators got their cookies from "Kevin". Being pleased with the consideration and kindness of Kevin, none of the moderators suspected that the cookies might be poisoned. Kylia Skydancer, Cyberartist, Azaradelle, Crazy Scott, yoshi97, Electric Sunrise, and GuitarShank all tragically died of cookie poisoning.15
The police questioned Kevin several times, but couldn't tie him to the cookies. Also, Kevin had no apparent motive. 16
The would-be moderator was delighted. Now she would have to be made a moderator. 'I've done it!' she thought. She was ready. She was perfect for the job. She was not chosen.17
There was a whole new set of moderators appointed and to her amazement, she was not among them. How could they fail to pick her? How could they fail to see how right she was for the job?18
If you are one of the new moderators, better watch out for cookies from Kevin.19

Haha, that wannabe moderator sounds like me. XD Except, that when I'm applying for Moderators(or if that doesn't work, Greeters) I'll surely watch out for the spelling mistakes and that narcissim! Hahaha! XD
I don't like sweet stuff anyway, I like cheesy stuff.

Hi!
I like cheese, too. I like swiss cheese in blocks and port wine cheeseballs best.
This was written for a contest for a gold membership for a month, I believe. I didn't place, but I guess it doesn't matter, I'm a paid gold member.
Thanks for checking this story out. Some of the moderators have changed.

Thanks
Thanks for reading and commenting. Kevin is really a nice person. I had fun with this story, but I didn't place in the contest
.
Your comments need to be about a hundred characters in length in order to earn points.
I appreciate you reading my story.

Thanks again.
Do you have anything short you'd like me to read? I'm a little busy right now, but if it's short, I'll try to give it a read now.

*laughs* Pretty fun read, man! And the ending was pretty good, too, with her not getting the job. That cracked me up.
Never eat cookies from Kevin, got it! Good luck in the contest!

Thanks Scott.
Thanks for reading, commenting, and all the applause. I appreciate it. I hope you didn't mind going out by cookie poisoning? I'm glad you found it funny. That was my objective.

She's right, she should be picked!!!!
of course...I'm dead. What do I know?
cute fic. -

Thanks Kylia
I didn't want to have to kill you off, but it was a part of the contest requirements. You'll probably get used to being dead and you can personally tell me if there is an afterlife and what it is like. Thanks for reading and commenting.

I--I'm one of the n--new mods....
passes the note along to Scott
I liked this. I think all of the mods giggled at what she said she'd do with all of her new abilities
"Naturally her friends were better writers than most of the writers at Storywrite." You've captured the essence of most StoryWriteGoers *proud tear*
Good luck!

Thanks
I only wish I'd had more time. This story for some reason was very hard for me to write. Maybe it's because I like you Mods
I'm very sorry she killed you, but I guess you must be expendable or sadistically masochistic. After all, you invited us to kill all of you.

"She had already started a list of Storywrite members she would ban. Mostly those who had given her stories bad reviews, and there had been quite a few." HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Well, at least I didn't die in this one!
Nicely done, Andy... a good tale that takes from both options and weaves them together nicely.
Thank you for entering, and good luck in the contest.

Thanks Barbara
Thanks for being one of the judges hosting this contest and for reading, commenting, and applauding. I appreciate it.
Yes, I decided to spare the moderator managers and up. I'm kissing up
My killer was being pragmatic.
I had hoped to make it longer and more humorous, but it just wasn't coming together in time.
Thanks again.

coooooookies MMMMMMMMMMM dunking in my coffee. Well we have been killed every way known to man just once it would be nice to die of old age.
I like the sneaky way you tried to get Kevin involved. I was surprised you didn't haver using her feminine wilds lol I don't remember hearing her name, I think you just referred to her as She. original concept, well done, all the best...

Thanks Paul,
Old age? What a bore. Yes, the moderators have been killed in many ways. I thought poisoning was a rather good way to deal with the pests
. I decided not to reveal the identity of the killer, so that the mods could choose their favorite suspects. I was certain you all have some. Thanks for reading, commenting, and all the applause.

HeHeHE! I LOVED it!
It was very humourous, and also very unique. This was really well written, and really easy to get into, and it flowed so well.
I enjoyed reading this, especially as it took a different turn form some of the other 'Mod Murder' stories. I don't think I'll be applying to be a Mod any time soon!
Also, Barbara didn't get cookies....hmmmm......lol

Thanks for reading, commenting, and all the applause. I appreciate it. I tried to make the story fun. It turned out shorter than I had planned. I felt our would-be moderator should spare Barbara and AnnD
.

So you did this on purpose
so did I
.
I love to read good stories and always offer corections (corrections) and suggestions to those who can't write desent (descent) stories.
I really like to read and I right (write) really good stuff.
I'm over 18 and very maturely (mature) for my age.
I wouldn't hesitate to ban those who do, even if they are my freinds. (friends)
I think I'd be extreamly (extremely) good at being a moderator.
She really would be great
She could keep them all in line.
I wonder how long before she'd be after Kevin's position
If they were looking for something funny--this should fit.

beginning: 5, ending: 5.

Thanks Geri
I appreciate the extra effort you put into correcting my mistakes
. This time, though, I think I'm going to leave them as they are
. So you think the killer might go after Kevin? I don't think Kevin would be easy to replace.

Lol!
This was great. Short and to the point. Humorous too
I'll watch out for cookies from Kevin as of now.

I had a tough time writing this. I wanted to make it longer and more detailed, maybe throw in some dialogue; but it just wouldn't work for me. I'm glad you like it. Thanks for reading, commenting, and applauding.

Have you been making cookies lately?
I'm glad you like this story. Thanks for reading, commenting, and all the applause.
