Run then kill1
The two witches were running through the woods. Knights of the Spiral Table were after them. They were running till Cassie collapsed from exhaustion.
“I can’t go any further!” Cassie cried out in pain.
“We have to keep moving” Kelsey yelled. Kelsey looked around trying to find a cave. “Over there!” she pointed towards her right. Kelsey helped Cassie up to her feet and ran towards the cave.
Once inside they heard feet running past and people yelling. Then it was silent. So silent that you could hear the dead walk. After awhile of silence the duo decided to walk further into the cave. They walked and walked until they came to a dead end. Kelsey decided they should get a fire started so Cassie went to search for fire wood.
Upon her return they built a fire out of wood and a bit of magic. But only a bit because it could easily use up all of their energy just to do a simple task like that.
Warming up by the fire and eating some bread they had with them and meat Cassie just hunted for. They sat and decided to wait inside the cave until the blackness of night approached to hide them.
Why did everyone hate them just because they were witches?
Just them Cassie and Kelsey herd a noise outside the cave. It sounded vary much like goblins feet. A very familiar goblin.
“Ello, what do we have here?” a crackling voice said. The voice sounded familiar to Kelsey and Cassie.
“Well, well, well. What are you doing here, goblin?” Kelsey asked.
“Don’t get all worked up. I just came to see if you were o.k.”
“How did you know we were in trouble?” Cassie asked.
“…Uhhh…”
“Maybe we should kill him now?” Kelsey suggested.
“No!” Cassie said. She turned towards the goblin “How did you know we were in trouble?”
“Well I heard that you two were ordered to be killed”
Kelsey took the goblin by the collar and thrust him against the cold hard stone wall and said in a deadly voice “Who?”
“W…we…well it was T.J. and Kaitlyn!” the goblin stammered in fear for his life.
“We’ll let you go this time, but just to make sure that you won’t sell us out.”
Cassie conjured an iron collar and put it on the goblin’s neck.
T.J. and Kaitlyn. That’s no surprise. They have been after the two witches for ages, they should have known.
Cassie grabs the pathetic goblin by his beard and hung him in the air. Her arm wrapped around his wrist; her nails dug into his soft, dirty flesh.
“He might know something about the crazy ones were about.” Her blue eyes grew a blaze in angry flames as she dropped him into a pathetic heap on the stone floor. Crimson blood dripping from purple vanes. He was winning so loud that Kelsey kicked his face, causing him to black out.
Just as the three had time to eat and rest, they again heard foot steps outside. Multiple feet.
The knights.
Running out of the cave through the trees, darken shadows. The two witches asked the goblin more about T.J. and Kaitlynn.
“Why does he want to kill us?” Kelsey yelled.
“Maybe he’s still mad at what you did to him many years ago.” Cassie thoughtfully said.
“Oh I remember that. Yeah that was hilarious.” Kelsey replied laughing.
Cassie quickly covered Kelsey’s mouth from her laughing.
“We need to get out of here fast and we don’t want to be caught by your laughing.” Cassie said as Kelsey removed Cassie’s hand from her mouth.
“Sorry. We’ll go north.”
“North?” Cassie asked confused, “Why North?”
“Because, I heard that they sell dragons for 100 gold coins. We’ll go there, buy 2 dragons and leave. First we’ll kill T.J. and Kaitlynn.”
