Many people have heard of King Arthur's famous Knights of the Round Table. They went on many adventures filled with danger and epic quests. Little do most people know though, these Knights had squires who also went on their own adventures that were not as perilous, but were filled with danger none the less. Without these squires, the Knights of the Round Table may not have been what they are today...1
These squires, who all aspired to become Knights of the Round Table, created their own league of Knights that was known as The Knights of the Breakfast Table. The Knights of the Breakfast Table met everyday before they had to do their daily chores at their breakfast table in the Grand Hall of Camelot. They had many adventures together, but for now it might be best to just learn who each squire was. 2
The squires all attend the Academy of Future Knights and are assigned a Knight that they follow around to learn the way of the Knight. For right now, we will just learn who the various 'Knights of the Breakfast Table' are.

The squire of Sir Lancelot, probably the greatest of all the Knights of the Round Table, was Dyelin of Robards. Dyelin was the son of a farmer and had come to become a squire after he had saved an injured Sir Lancelot's life from that of savage dog with his sheppard's staff. Lancelot had been so grateful that he offered to take Dyelin in as his squire.4
Dyelin had brown hair and blue eyes. He was also very quiet, only speaking to those who he truly trusted. His main weapon of choice was a long sword that had been passed down to him from his father.5

The squire of Sir Kay wasn't really a squire. He was a self-acclaimed prince by the name of Prince Camo. Prince Camo often claimed that Sir Kay was his second cousin twice removed, though no one truly believed him. He had become Kay's squire almost by accident, though really he had freaked Kay out so badly with his unpredictable personality that Kay offered him the position for fear of what would happen if he didn't.7
Prince Camo had reddish-brown hair and green eyes. Because of his unpredictable personality, Price Camo was not allowed to carry an actual weapon. Instead, he was given a wooden sword, but when that backfired, he was given a plastic sword that had sequins built into the hilt to give it a real appearance. (See 'Prince Camo of the Breakfast Table' by Camo the Flauge to see a story about the eccentric prince)8

The Knight of Sir Ector, who was the Father of Sir Kay, was a boy that was known to all as Lard. Lard had gotten his name because of his love for the greasy pig fat, which he would eat without cooking it sometimes. Because of this, he had gained an emmense weight. Sir Ector had given Lard the position of squire after he found the poor boy being teased by the other village boys. He taught Lard how to fight and the next thing he knew, Lard was beating other boys to a pulp. Proud of the boy, Sir Ector officially made him his squire.10
Lard had short black hair and brown eyes. His main weapon of choice is an axe, which Sir Ector have him as a gift upon reaching Camelot.11

The unfortunate squire of Sir Pelleas was Rusty. The reason he was called Rusty is because one day, the squire of Sir Mordred, who was Arthur's illegitimate son, dared the young squire to steal one of Pelleas's gauntlets. Foolish due to his young age, Rusty followed through with the dare. When he put the gauntlet on however, he found that the gauntlet was rusted and he couldn't get his arm out of it. Because of this, his arm was set at an awkward angle and could not recover. Sir Pelleas, finding him like this, could have helped the poor squire, but decided to leave it as a reminder that he should not steal.13
Because of his crippled arm, Rusty cannot effectively wield a weapon. He is very gifted in politics though, which has come into great use for the Knights of the Breakfast Table.14

Christophe was squire of Sir Gawain. His father was a soldier and had a strong influence in the Court of King Arthur. He was also a good friend of Sir Gawain who was more than happy to oblige to take Christophe under his wing as a squire.16
Christophe had a buzzed haircut, being the son of a high ranking soldier. He was very adept at pickpocketing and his main weapons of choice are two daggers.

The squire of Sir Galahad was a boy known as Stork. He was very tall and gangly and wore eye glasses. He usually had his nose buried in books that Christophe brought from his home, though he is really a slacker. He was admitted into the Academy
after he and Sir Galahad had a long discussion in the Library, and being impressed with his knowledge of books, allowed him to be his squire.18
Stork has been trained in the art of the bo-staff and in quite adept at using it.

Many Knights came and went from the Knights of the Breakfast Table. These five have always been together and through their friendships, they most certainly will become Knights of the Round Table one day.

Author notes
This is based off of my actual Breakfast Table at school. Dyelin- myself, Dylan Branson. Prince Camo- Cameron Brown (aka Camo the Flauge). Lard- Jordan Stone. Rusty- Justin Keown. Christophe- Chris Ramirez. Stork- Lee Depriest. I plan on one day filling this out to a full story, but this is basically just the character outlines.

This was hilarious. xD I loved hearing Cameron talk about 'The Knights of the Breakfast Table' but this explains a whole lot more to me. I knew all of them except Lee, only because I don't remember Cam ever talking about Lee. I feel so special!

Thanks again for entering...I like the fact that you went off of your own breakfast table, what a good idea!
I don't have anything to say that I noticed ( typos, missed words etc.) So all I can say is good luck!

Thank you for entering my contest, I don't have time to read all of it right now but my first suggestion, change the orange print to white, it will make it easier to read, especially since the sun casts a glare on my glasses anyway. Thanks again!

Hmmm... an interesting cast of characters you have here! There were some very humorous details, especially memorable were Lard's diet and Prince Camo's intriguing personality. If this is expanded into a story, to increase the entertainment value of this portion you might consider a way to incorporate the introductions of the characters and their descriptions in a way that incorporates some dialogue or action. A couple of typos I noticed, para. 10, emmense (immense), para. 8 "Price Camo" (Prince Camo). I'm sure your friends must have enjoyed this very much if you shared it with them. Thanks for this entry!
