A happier new year

God sent His Son, that we can know we have Everlasting Life.1

Words so often heard but what kind of a New Year would it2

Be if this were not written on the tablets of my Heart.3

So now I write my New Year's Resolution. Here it tis.4

2004 saw us sitting beside our son till he went Home.5

2005 will be without him. I will thank God daily,6

Our two sons are in His Place, prepared for them ages ago.7

Live my life with meaning and to rejoice at even small things.8

I'll laugh more, love more, hug more, smile more9

Who knows if they can look down from Heaven and10

Say "Now that's our Mom".11

I'll brighten the days of those who suffer in 2005.12

Call friends, just to ask 'How's your day?'13

The next part is harder for to do but here goes-14

When I ask - I will listen with my heart and really15

Care - I will remember later to ask 'How's that now?'16

I resolve not to grieve any more than I can help.17

Think of the lot of others and be glad for what18

Remains. Live as my son who knew no stranger.19

God help me to keep this as my heart still bleeds.20

This is very good. Very emotional, very deep, very true. I really like it. Thank you for the comment you made on 'Rain And Life'. It's a true story. I almost got hit by car when it was raining in California back during November. Thanks again!

Thanks- I enter but so many are won by friends of the person having the contest. No one has ever come back to my page after
contest ends or sent a reply on the winner. Sometimes its days later. You just sound like you will read all and let us know who wins, if only on your bookmarked page. That was going to be part of my resolution, not to enter any more. My grandaughter, Lady8 and greatgrand Beautyqueen03 tell me to keep entering. so I did. Thank for your remark.
