Chapter One; What is a Moderate6

Before starting this book, I feel it would be best to out line what the moderate view is so that the reader can understand where the views are coming from. This is the only purpose of this chapter and thus gives the reader something to grasp on to so they can understand the views I am here writing.7

Looking at the political world from a view of a moderate, what is seen is quite startling. Where many are today calling themselves a moderate, are seldom what a real moderate would call a moderate. There are just too many frauds in the political fraction of one of the most diverse political sub-groups in the arena.8

Here is will out line the two major frauds that are calling themselves Moderates.9

1) Liberals. A fair number of Liberals that are ashamed of being called Liberals have taken the title of Moderate, as if this will remove the stigma of what they in fact are. These people will quote the Liberal dogma and their rantings with few exceptions, just enough to make them look like they are not what they in fact are. It is easy to see through them, as they seldom seem to have much knowledge of what they talk about outside the Liberal realm. These few outside lines are strictly for show so they do not feel they are needed to know much about their non-Liberal views.10

Another point that shows them for what they are, is that they will fight harder for their Liberal views than their non-Liberal views. Where as a Moderate feels equally for all their views, the Liberal hiding under the Moderate banner is more aligned to their Liberal views than any other view.11

2) The Unsure. These are those that have a severe lack of understanding of what is going on around them in politics. Their views are based on what sounds good rather than what they honestly know. These people find that calling themselves a Moderate relieves them of having any real understandings. What they fail to understand is that it also makes them a political fraud as well.12

Now what is a moderate? Well for short it is someone that is rebellious of the political world and has chosen to be free of bindings that they have found. A Moderate will find that there are good things in the Liberal camps as well as the Conservative camps, and points they are both wrong in. 13

A Moderate has found that truth cannot be found in either camp, as both have dogmas that lead people astray. Typically a Moderate is either a Republican or Independent, but will not be a Democrat as something about the Democratic mind stops one from going this route. If a Democrat calls themselves a Moderate then usually they will be a Liberal hiding, and sometimes a person that has no understanding of what is going on.14

Moderates will research and try to find out as much as they can about all sides of an issue before they take a side. This is why you will find many Moderates that do not agree on all issues, but agree on many. They tend to be very open minded and willing to talk to both sides to see if they have missed something that could change their minds. A moderate’s view is based on knowledge and can be changed if the they find can show the need to do so. It is not changed on a whim, but due to information they can obtain. This is one reason I feel President Bush is more of a Moderate than he is a Conservative. He keeps diverse views around him to see as many views and as much information as he can to make his choices, and lacks the fear to make quick changes when he feels the need is in truth there.15

It is far easier to be Liberal or Conservative than it is to be a Moderate, as once you have taken on the title of Moderate you have made a statement for life. A Moderate has greed to look openly at all issues and try to study all that he/she can to understand them before making a stand on each issue. Being a Moderate means you have removed the shackles of dogmas and now stand on your own ground for reasons that you believe from what you have been able to understand.16

The age of the Internet is the biggest boom to a Moderate that has ever come due to the information that is now much more easily obtainable. Moderates usually read many news journals; newspapers, magazines, news sites, as well as listen to differing views on the television and radio. Myself I read newspapers from China, Russia, UK, Poland, US, Japan, and Australia, in order to get as many views on a story as possible. Others may use other sources, but the end results are the same, searching for as many views to make the most reasonable choices on our stances.17

On the radio, a Moderate may listen to many of the Conservative talk shows, and the few Moderate talk shows, and some Liberal ones as well. Many in the more recent years have shunned the Liberal shows like NPR due to the excessive amounts of misleading tall tales they have been spreading. One of the saddest things was how the BBC went from a Liberal/Moderate view to the twisted views of the excessive Liberals.  The nice find was the FOX news, which has taken the Conservative/Moderate views on their news service. 18

Chapter Two; Kerry’s Run19

Kerry has to be one of the easiest Politicians to foresee than any that has ever run for office of President of the US. His views were the simplest to foretell and lacked any of the complicity that many that have run for office in any political campaign in the history of the USA. Basically all you had to do was look at the polls and you could tell where his next vote and view would run. This shows a man of little sight of field and a lack of any convictions that would be needed for a politician. It is much easier to understand and/or follow a person that has views you disagree with than one that is all over the spectrum. 20

Watching John Kerry run for office, was much like watching a drunken bull navigate a china shop. He had a lot of force, but little satiability. Even worse was the people that did follow him, as most of them had little understanding of what they were voting for. This was as many said, including those that voted for him, just to get rid of Bush. What a sorry state for voting in any candidate. 21

Kerry based his campaign on the only solid thing he has ever had in his life, his weak Viet Nam service. Which brought a lot of vets that served with him, or in the same war as him out to adamantly oppose his right to bring it up as if he was some kind of war hero. Kerry had long before distanced himself from many of the Vets with his 1971 testimony to Congress where he called his brothers in service war criminals, and his very words were used against our troops in POW camps in Nam. 22

With Kerry’s Testimony, his views of the Vietnam war were that he still looked at it like the war in Europe during WWII. “We rationalized destroying villages in order to save them. We saw America lose her sense of morality as she accepted very coolly a My Lai and refused to give up the image of American soldiers who hand out chocolate bars and chewing gum.4”. It was the same as he did with the Iraqi War, trying to make it look like some other war so that he could draw lines that would lead people to agree with his views.  His choice here was to compare it to the Vietnam war, which was just as different. The Iraqi War was still part of the War on Terror, as the Government was in varying effects supporting different terror groups, even if this stage of the war was against a Country, the War on Terror was not about countries but Globally active cancerous groups.23

Another issue Kerry tried to use was his record as Senator for twenty years. This left many wondering what he was thinking of when he thought this would help. As Senator, Kerry had accomplished very little other than a seat warmer.24

To bring up his record would be to show how little you could benefit your Country as possible. In the search for our MIA’s in Nam, Kerry again turned his back on his brothers by quickly ending the search with little to show for the effort. There had been more than enough information that the Government of Viet Nam could have done more to find our troops, but had not done so. Instead of voting or offering any effort to push for more answers, Kerry easily walked away for the MIA’s and voted to end the search for them. Today no one knows what had ever become of these brave men and women, and likely never will.25

Kerry’s record shows that in twenty years, he has never authored a bill that has ever been put up for vote. But he had voted against almost every Military upgrade, and for the reduction of intelligence especially in an area where a known threat was known, the Middle East. 26

With his history intact, Kerry was ready to run for the Office of President of the USA. How could anyone ever have voted for John Kerry? It now turns very complicated and misleading. Needless to say, it was not Kerry that the Left wanted in Office, but that they wanted Bush out. It was a trade off that they were willing to make. Someone that was easy to lead and without a stand, for someone that was had shown a view and a metal that the left did not like.27

More of this in depth will be covered in the book. 28

What did Kerry offer as President of this country? He offered the removal of President Bush, and a meandering sloth that the Liberals felt they could control and jump to their biddings. Nothing more than a puppet for the wealthy Liberals so they could hold power of the country in their own visions of grandeur. For the country, Kerry offered very little, and often even went as far as to state that in his statements of turning the Military over to the UN, and making peace with the terror groups and apologizing to them as well; the very groups we were at war with. 29

Chapter Three; Bush’s Run30

When the Existing President, George W. Bush, ran for his second term, he had to face a lot of controversy and criticism. Not just for his War on Iraq and Terror, but many of his actions as President. Bush had started a war on Terror after the attack of 9/11/2001 when Terrorists had hijacked four planes flying two into the Trade Towers and the Pentagon, and having the fourth taken from them and flown into the ground in Pennsylvania. This was to be a War with no boundaries, and one that would be hard to fight, long, and very costly, but one that had for decades needed to have been fought.31

When the Attack of 9/11 came, President Bush was talking to some school children in Florida. His first reaction from the news, was not to jump up and start screaming orders, but to sit in shock of the reports. The left made this out to be a reaction of one that lacked any real care for what had happened, but ignored the news until he heard the people’s cry for action. They failed to report to the people through the highly Liberal News services that his actions had been that of shock, but made it out to be other than care.32

Bush ran his ticket on the view he had done all in his power to react to what had happened in the only way that was left to him as one that honestly cared for his country. He ran on three major points of his term, the war, economy, and the education bill that he had helped push through. The Same Bill that was co-authored by Senator Ted Kennedy (Liberal) that the left had now turned against. The Education Bill was one that the voting in had angered most of the right (Conservatives) and sent many of the Moderates wondering if it was indeed a good Bill or not. I for one had and still do support the passing of this Bill.33

Another issue that President Bush had to deal with was his history during Viet Nam. He had served in the Air National Guard and took time off to help a Politician in Louisiana run for Senator. Bush had shown that he had returned and finished his time in the National Guard, but the Left would not accept that. It was ok that the President before him had ran to Russia during the Viet Nam war, who was at the time helping the North Vietnamese, but to become President and have a record where one served and took a break, was wrong according to the left. Bush showed a greater level of maturity by never running this fact as Kerry and others had twisted his history in the Liberal Media.34

One thing that stood out on President Bush was his level of honesty and maturity during his run for re-election. Even with his flaws, Bush showed the people who was more in control of the world around him, and who could think on his own in times of hardship, and this was a factor that the people needed in a time of war and economic hardship. Even though he might not be the best we could have hoped for, he was by a long shot the best we had at the time.35

Chapter Four; Iraq36

After the attack of 9/11/2001, the USA was now finding itself under attack on its home land for the third time in its short history. Not sense the British invasion in 1812, or the attack on Pearl Harbor by Japan, had the US ever been so boldly hit. Or had it? 37

Many forget that during WWII Germany and Japan both had landed troops on US soil with negative effects. Japan had made the most distance inland reaching Palm Springs, California. But both had failed to do any real damage in their landings. Japan had also taken over an Island off from Alaska, and even built a base of sorts there. Due to poor leadership at the time, the General in charge of supplying the troops in Alaska, they almost held this island, but again failed to do so.38

The most damage the US had even taken from any invasion, was in 1812, but even that was repelled and the US continued on her way. 39

In Pearl Harbor, the commanders of the base there had blundered and given Japan too much room for activity, and they used every inch of that room. Ignoring the orders of “Letting Japan make the first move without endangering your troops” had not been followed. Indeed Japan had made five moves before this with five subs sunk in the entrance to the harbor from September through November of 1941. We had been at war with Japan for three months before December 7, 1941, but the Commanders of the base had failed to carry out orders and let one of the worst attacks before 9/11/2001 happen.40

Likewise 9/11/2001 followed a similar route with the removal of agents from the Middle East after President Clinton, Senator John Kerry, and other Liberal Members of Congress had worked hard to reduce our intelligence in a region we knew to be a breeding ground for trouble. Even with attacks on our Navy, and Embassies, then President Clinton and Senators John Kerry and Edwards (who would later run as Kerry’s Vice President in the 2001 election) had failed to vote for any increase of defense or intelligence in the Middle East, but rather worked to reduce it further.41

As with the Commanders of Pearl Harbor; Clinton, Kerry, Edwards, and every member of the Senate that worked to reduce the US’s Intel in this hostile region should have gone before a senate board of inquiry. Due to the Liberal powers in the Senate, this had never happened but the blame was passed to the President that walked into the mess left by his predecessor, Bill Clinton.42

If this had been all that had been done, it would have been enough, but it was not. The US had been so crippled by the President and Congress, that we had become an easy target. Janet Reno, Clinton’s Attorney General had made it so our Intelligence communities could no longer talk to each other and share information. This caused massive waists of money and ineffective intelligence gathering of groups within the US that could have been planning such operations as 9/11/2001.43

Had Clinton and the Congress at this time been the only people to have caused such an opening? No they had not. The US had such a slack boarder protection, that we have for decades been open more than protected. What Clinton and the Congress of that time had done, was to leave in effect an open invitation for an attack. Before Clinton’s reign, we had at least had some effective Intelligence to warn us of possible attacks, but after his two terms, with the weak boarders the Clinton era had blinded us as well.44

Iraq had been under sanctions for a period of 12 years via one of the most lacking groups America had ever developed; the UN. The United Nations with their history of more screw-ups than accomplishments, had run the sanctions as they usually do, and as always as ineffectively. 45

In the UN Mission Reports, it was evident that there was a continuation of problems in the observation of Iraq, that the UN continuously told the media it lacked. During the twelve years of operation in Iraq and Kuwait, the UN had over forty vehicles damaged, twenty vehicles destroyed, and troops wounded and killed. None of this was admitted to when any of the Liberal media talked to the UN Officials before the war, or even during the war. The UN seemed to believe that they could have an open site with their reports and information readily available and no one would bother to look.46

After the beginning of the war in 2003, the UN found this was no the case, and quickly moved to correct the error on their port by now censoring what they put out for the people to see. What they had not expected was a few would save the information that they found for later reference, and in this book, I will be pulling from this information as well as other sources.47

In the Mission Report of September 18, 20021, there showed to be little changes, and the UN continued to do any better than they had any other year. The Mission Reports were in six-month coverage, and outlined what the Unite Nations Iraq-Kuwait Observation Mission (UNIKOM) had encountered.48

In the Report from September 18, 2002, the UNIKOM had reported that the Iraqi’s had Patrol Boats violating Kuwaiti waters, their Communication Tower in Sanam Hill had been damaged and a request to Iraq to help in replacing this facility was ignored. In June 20,2002, Iraq informed UNIKOM that it could no longer use the Ports they had used for their patrol boats. UNIKOM was at least able to acquire use of this port until they (UNIKOM) could build another Port for their use. This while Iraq was regularly violating the Kuwait waters with their Military cafts.49

Also in the Reports it shows more violations by the Iraqi troops entering the Demilitarized Zone carrying weapons; 2 military Vehicles, 1 Iraqi military personnel in a vehicle in the Demilitarized Zone, and four weapons violations including; 1 7.62 rifle, 2 heavy Machineguns, and 1 AK-47 rifle carried by a Iraqi Police Officer. This was one thing I found very common in every report, was the amount of violations of Military vehicles and weapons by the Iraqi troops and Police found in the restricted zone as well as the Iraqi Patrol Boats in Kuwaiti waters.50

The facts that Iraq took little respect of the UN was as common knowledge in the UN as with most Governments that looked and saw what was going on. In the report given in the Security Council Meeting on February 28, 20032, the UN admitted to actions that they knew violated the Food for Oil Programme. On December 30, 2002 the GRL (Goods Review List) was updated to include such items as GPS Jammers that could be purchased through the Food for Oil Programme2. So in this, it had been allowed for Russia to sell such items to Iraq within the program legally and without any consequences for this action. 51

Carrying things further, the UN’s UNMOVIC had made the decision on what their people should have to and not have to do.52

“(c) The Iraqi commission established to search for and present any53

proscribed items is potentially a mechanism of importance. It should, indeed, do the54

job that inspectors should not have to do, namely, tracing any remaining stocks or55

pieces of proscribed items anywhere in Iraq. Although appointed around 20 January,56

it has so far reported only a few findings: four empty 122-mm chemical munitions57

and, recently, two BW aerial bombs and some associated components”258

Saying that it was better for the people under the control of a Dictator of a known hostility to do the legwork for the research of the proscribed weapon components.59

With this information, it is easy to see why Bush’s Cabinet had problems respecting the choices of the UN. As anyone would know, the US would have access to all this information, and Bush would have to make his choices based on all relevant information. The Liberal Press again chose not to bring any of this to view to the public, as well as countries like France, Germany, and Russia. Countries like the UK, Spain, Poland, Denmark and others looked at this as well as the US and choose to join the US due to the many possibilities that were just too real with the known history of Saddam Hussein’s reign. 60

Of the Violations Iraq had been guilty of during the twelve years that the UN held the inspections and embargo were numerous. As for the antenna earlier mentioned, this had been covered in Resolution 1441 of 20023. After the resolution had been voted in action Hans Blix and Mohamed ElBaradei had requested a number of changes made. In these changes, Iraq would see to the construction and care of such equipment as Antennas for the use of the various inspectors sent in by the UN free of cost3. According to the UN’s own reports, this had been an ongoing battle with Iraq. The Inspectors had trouble from day one in trying to acquire the necessary information to due their jobs, which was in direct violation of resolution 1441.61

In fact when the UN inspectors were forced to leave Iraq, this was by the UN’s own resolutions an act that required a direct response and harshly. As has become a norm with the UN, it was lightly handled until they were again allowed in, and there was little change with the Iraqi Government. 62

Granted the UN rattled swords, but even then the Iraqi Government was not shaken by this. When the UN said in a letter to the Iraqi Leader; Saddam Hussein, That serious response would have to be made, it was looked at as a very unlikely event.63

When the United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan, said, or atleast reportedly said; “the Security Council resolution adopted today had strengthened the cause of peace and given new impetus to the search of security in an increasingly dangerous world.  The adoption represented an example of multilateral diplomacy serving the cause of peace and security.  He urged the Iraqi leadership to seize the  opportunity, and thereby begin to end the isolation and suffering of the Iraqi people. “If Iraq’s defiance continues, however, the Security Council must face its responsibilities”6 Suddam knew that his bribes would stop this from happening.64

The food for oil scandal was much bigger than many knew, and still know. Even when you look at one name, one that was seen many times on the lists through many companies, Labor Party member George Galloway. Mr. Galloway was found in six references; 29 December 1999 name of the purchasing Finnish company is Fortum Oil and Gas-oy, 10 July 2001 purchasing company is Aredio Petroleum and (Fawwaz Zurayqat), 6 August 2001 who is Jordanian, purchasing company is Middle East Advanced Semiconductor Inc, 3 May 2001 which is Jordanian (Fawwaz Zurayqat), Middle East Advanced Semiconductor Inc, 12 December 2002 which is Jordanian (Fawwaz Zurayqat), 3 June 2002 Middle East Advanced Semiconductor Inc, which is Jordanian (Fawwaz Zurayqat). Mr. Galloway was not paid in cash, but in lots of 2 to 6 million barrels of illegal crude oil.6 65

The list of countries is long and very diverse. Here is a shortened list of countries, not listing the companies that were actually involved.66

Syria, Amman, Cyprus, Turkey, Vietnam, Sudan, Yemen, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Italy, Spain, Yugoslavia, Belarus, Romania, Britton, Canada, United States, Chad, Thailand, Panama, Hungary, S. Africa, Philippines, Netherlands, France, China, Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Lebanon, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Libya, Brazil, Ireland, Kenya, Nigeria, Bulgaria, Ect. Ect.6 With few exceptions, most of the companies buying the Oil were arab owned companies, but not all. In Vietnam, all the companies were their own companies, one in both India and Pakistan were their own companies, in Italy and france all were their own companies, thus each country was different in what mix was their own and outside companies that were on this list.667

Now were these inadequacies ever known about? In accordance of the Inspection group hired in the sixth year of the operation, there were. The reports from Swiss-based Cotecna Inspection SA, had sent in a report to Kofi Annon telling him about the many problems they had found. Annon then sat on the reports keeping them from the Security Council and the US Senate who was wanting to do their own study. Annon was not blind to the study, but ignored it completely.7 68

A very interesting write here, Dan. I'm looking forward to the book.
I must admit that I'm not very political minded but this is easy to understand, and seemingly accurate in it's stated information.
    Good luck with the book
