Chapter Four:1

"Uh...I'm so tired..." moaned Kiva, shutting the door behind her, "Hey, is anyone home?!"
The house was silent. Kiva narrowed her eyes and slung her book back on the couch.
"No one's ever here when I get home..." she muttered bitterly to herself as she walked upstairs, "Everyone's to busy working..."
Kiva quickly went to her room, throwing down her school uniform shirt and tie, soon followed by her skirt. She slipped on a black and red plaid skirt, a sleeve-less red shirt, and knee-high boots, clicking the straps on them tightly. Kiva looked in the mirror while tying up her hair in a high pony-tail.
"Perfect. And now for the finishing touch...My goggles."
She slid on the goggles and ran back downstairs, jumping the last three steps. She walked to the kitchen fridge and pulled out a soda, looking randomly through the window.
Across the street, a teenage girl was getting on the back of a motorcycle with a boy. The two sped off, and Kiva sighed.
"I wonder where he is..." she whispered, thinking of Leon. She took a sip of the soda.
"Maybe...I dreamed him...And he's not real..."
"Who's not real?"
Kiva gasped and leaped a foot in the air.
"AH! GRANDMA, DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT!!!" cried Kiva. Kiva's grandmother smiled.
"Who do you think is not real?" her grandmother asked again. Kiva turned away.
"No one." she muttered bitterly. Kiva grandmother looked at her.
"You know, ever since you stayed out late a week ago, you haven't been the same. You've been jumpy, your mind is in the clouds, and you've seemed tired and frustrated."
Kiva turned to her grandma. Her brown eyes looked comforting, and yet, they seemed to look right through her. Kiva took a sip of her drink and sighed.
"Grandma, only one person can help me with this, and he's gone."
"Ah, so it IS someone."
Kiva groaned.
"Looks like someone is having boy troubles..." teased Grandma.
"Me and Leon are just friends! Geez!" snapped Kiva without thinking. She gasped and covered her mouth. Grandma frowned.
"Leon? Are you talking about the boy Tai was friends with?" she asked. Kiva was dead silent, not knowing what to say.
"He has blonde hair, right? Odd boy, he always showed up at crucial moments. I only got to see him two or three times, but he stopped coming by when your brother died."
Kiva looked suddenly distant, thinking.
"Yeah, it's that Leon." muttered Kiva, finishing off her soda. Grandma smiled.
"Ah. Well, don't worry. Leon will show his head around, you'll see."
"Thanks. Hey, I'm going out, 'kay?"
"Be back by dinner this time! I'm making cod." said Grandma excitedly. Kiva nodded, grabbed her purse, and walked out the door.

I'm planning to turn this into a anime, so I really need your suggestions!
