One time in the corn fields, my jeans got wet even though I had the translucent plastic coveralls. They were so uncomfortable, as the sun came up while we were detasselling, so I took 'em off. You could see my underwear through the plastic pants, but I didn't care, cause it was the corn fields, and anyway, no body could see through the underwear which was I think Hanes boxers. 1
Kinda like swim trunks, eh? 2
Some of the young folk were a tad disturbed though. Chalk that up I do, to Yankee puritanism. My opinion folks. That's it. 3
By the by, the company I worked for was White Pine, White Oaks, or something from Peoria, Illinois, or something like that, and they never paid me for the two days of temp work I did for them. I switched over to another crew and worked the rest of the season. But I never did get paid.4
