A Dream

The candle light was barely enough to light the dingy stonewalled room. The stones had seen years of hands and spills now tinged a dark brown where they had once been gray and perhaps even other colors, but now that was all lost to time and years of dust and dirt. The room only held two souls, though the status of the soul of one of the occupants could be thrown into question. They where both pale, ones coloring was natural and the others was the pale of sickness and pain, one was male and one was female. Both looked worse for wear, their clothing smudged with dirt and blood, even their skin was blemished with the dirt and blood. The pale female looked up at the pale male before coughing, the force of it racking her whole body, splatters of blood landing onto her hand that shook as she held it in front of her mouth the strength she had left almost gone. "Do..nion." she croaks her voice barely there in fact most humans would have trouble catching the fractured word, the man leans forward gently grabbing her hand caressing the skin, trying to comfort the dieing woman. A small smile forms on the woman's face, few would know that she used to hate the man that now held her hand gently. "I..w..want you to be with your love." she whispers forcing herself to finish the sentence in one go, which brought on another coughing fit, her eyebrows creased in pain, beads of sweat forming on her pale skin.
