I know most people have a normal wish. Like "I wish I had a million bucks." or "I wish I was a princess." But I have a real wish. One that probably wont come true. But hey, it's worth wishing for.1
I wish that I knew why my mother abandoned me as a child. Why? Well, wouldn't you want to know why your mother had abandoned you? I want to know it's not because I wasn't good enough, or because I was a mistake. 2
I would give up anything to know why I was abandoned. I want this to happen because I have no idea what my real name is, or anything else like that, and I just need to know. I cry every night because I think I wasn't good enough for my mother. I need to know the truth, so my fears could go away. I need to know I'm loved...3

Short, sweet and oh so sad. well-written. Makes you want to take this person and just hug him/her. Its the not knowing that gnaws at a person. However, it is never a childs fault when given up, the responsibility lies solely with the parents/parent.

I agree with Syren. I meam, they are a lot of unfit mothers in the world and a lot of them know they are unfit. Maybe she wanted you to grow up with a good life and wanted you to be happy.

Have you been told that maybe it wasn't you and that your mother couldn't take proper care for you and that she loved you so much she wanted to make sure that you were safe and loved by another family?
