Nine Elevators In Three Hours

It is 6o p.m. Monday evening. Cole is sitting at his desk at home, when all of a sudden the phone rings. His wife Karen answers it. "Hello.... really she can do what?" that was Yolandas' teacher on the other end telling Karen that Yolanda have talent to become a actress. (Mrs. Robinson) the teacher wants to set up a conference with the Boobs to tell them more about the acting studies that Yolanda should take. They set the meeting for Wednesday morning a 9:00 a.m. Karen runs back to the office where Cole is and tells him the news about Yolanda. Cole is so wrapped up in trying to figure out how they are going to pay some bills that he didn't hear a word she said to him. "Honey did you hear me"?1

"What did you say baby?"cole said. "What about your sister"? Karen walks over to him and puts her arms around him trying to get his attention. "I didn't say anything about my sister, I said Yolandas' teacher called and she wants to meet with us". "Baby put the bills down for just a minute".Listen to me, our daughters' teacher was on the phone and she wants to talk to us about Yolanda going to acting school." Cole is looking at his wife strangly like he is saying to himself how in the hell am I going to pay for acting school.2

Wednsday morning arrives they go to the school to meet Mrs. Robinson. They walk to her office/room, knock on the door. "Come in, oh you must be Yolandas' parents, have a seat please,can I get you anything"?They both say "no".3

Cole: What is this all about?4

Karen: I told you honey, Yolanda going to acting school.5

Mrs Robinson: Yes she should try out for some acting parts/auditions.6

Now they both heard what the teacher had to say about the acting school, so they get ready to leave the school. It is starting to rain, the drive home is long and difficulty because drivers are slowing down. They finally make it home.7

Cole is still trying to figure out how he is going to make money to send his daughter to acting school."I need a part-time job cole says". "Baby everthing is going to be alright, we'll make it happen ok."Karen says.8

So Cole gets up the next morning going to look for a part-time job, he puts applications at grocery stores, police dept. ect... finally he comes across the CITY OF ST. LOUIS,he puts an application in and he gets hired.9

Cole meets his boss Mr. Felts.10

Mr. Felts: hello and welcome to the city court house, I will take you around to meet your co-workers.11

COLE: Ok then.12
