If Only For a Night

As I sit in my window cell, I watch as the rain hits the pavement, and streams down the window pane. I just close my eyes and listen to the rain, as I think of Daylyn and if she is thinking of me too.

I stare out at the street, bewitched by the beauty of the night knowing if only she was here, everything would fall into sync. My cheeks are stained with salty tears from the loneliness I feel deep inside my heart. The scars are so deep inside that only she can make them heal.

The street lamp on the corner shines so dim but yet so bright, like a symbol of my love for her burning on through the darkness.

Our forbidden memories played in my head, to the first night we truly found love.

Watching the fading rays of the sun, painting her face with a glowing light. My gaze fell to her hands and watching her silently plead for my touch. Her smile grew a bit when I unraveled her fingers. Love, lust, passion and overwhelming desire raced from our pores as the ferocity of our amorous sensation lingered. Hands led the way to the bittersweet sensations while our gaze locked dangerously. Lost on a sea of love, drowning helplessly in an abyss of pure surrender, flesh against flesh, lips tasting the sweetest kiss. Nothing else mattered, just the uncontrollable

fever that devoured our souls. We gave into each other, letting the world

fade and fall into the heat of the night. We fell at heavens door, given a tender moments peace as we gazed into eternity. No longer two souls divided, but a single being that shown like a blaze of light, through the emptiness of time. We found ourselves washed on the shores of ecstasy,

swept away by the very thing we've been so starved to embrace.

we found love...

I pull away from my window and settle back into my bed, and think back to the day when we were separated. Rip apart by our families, because I made some bad decisions before I met you. They say I shouldn't be trusted, and I'm just going to bring you down with me. They say I will never amount to anything, and that you can do better. I stare up at the ceiling with nothing else to do, but lay alone in the dark thinking about you. I want to tell you I love you more than life, you mean the world to me. You saw me when I was invisible, and fell in love with the real me.

If I could just be with you again...if only for a night.

Your descriptions are amazing! Is this a fictional story? It sounds so deep and true. Great visualization while reading this. It reminds me of a greek myth...I forget what it is called, but it's about how two lovers are forced apart when they need eachother so badly, but they had just recently met.
    Nicely Done.
