Gentle Rains Ch. 6

A small sigh escaped the red lips of the School for the gifted resident Teacher and soon to be mother Ororo Monroe as she looked down at her constantly growing belly and rubbed it a bit. Remy had to go to the bar for a rare day shift seeing as how someone had called out, which left Ororo to herself for most of the day. The good thing was she was able to get some major cleaning done and get some of the baby's things organized. She had even went out and bought herself some more classical music and opera music and was now sitting on the couch with her headphones on her belly letting the baby listen to the music.1

Meanwhile Jubilee and one of the students who were supposed to be in class quietly snuck over to Ororo wanting to talk to her and about her baby. 2

"Girls, what are you doing out of class?" Ororo asked looking back as the girls straightened some. 3

"How'd you know it was us?" One of the girls asked.4

"Mother's intuition." Ororo said shifting a bit as she placed her arm on top of the couch and rubbed her belly with her other hand. "So what do you want?" Ororo asked smiling.5

"Can we see your belly?" Jubilee asked.6

"Hmm hmm, honestly what is it with you students and wanting to see how big I am?" She giggled. 7

"We think its cool that you have a baby growing inside you." The other girl said. 8

"Uh huh." She said knowing there was another reason behind it. "Alright...come here." Ororo said.9

Jubilee smiled and went over to the couch and sat down by Ororo as the other student took her spot on Ororo's other side. 10

Ororo smiled some and took the headphones from her belly as she rubbed her stomach. "I know baby. its alright." She said softly feeling her baby squirm around at being disturbed. 11

"Is it kicking yet?" Jubilee asked.12

"He Jubilee." Ororo said sliding her shirt to the side to show them the bump where her baby had been growing.13

"Its a boy?" She asked. 14

"Mmm...I haven't told Remy yet that I'm going to birth him a son, because I'm afraid he's gonna start doing that whole sports phase and what not." Ororo said as she and the girls laughed. 15

"So is he kicking yet?" The girl asked. 16

Ororo frowned some and looked away a bit shyly as she sighed a bit "I'm not sure really since this is my first baby angela, but I think he does kick me at night, He likes to have his back rubbed." She said looking down at her belly.17

The past few months for Ororo had been such a blessing, she was going to have her son in five more months, and though she dreaded the long labor that awaited her, it would be worth it to finally get to hold her baby in her arms. She couldn't even begin to find the words that would describe how she felt, when she felt the tiny movements of her baby, though it didn't seem like much, to her it was like her son was saying i'm here pay attention to me, or if she was sad that tiny little movement would cheer her up and remind her that she had a miracle growing inside her body.18

"Mis Monroe." Angela said. 19

"Mmm...I'm sorry I guess I spaced out there for a sec, feel anything?" She asked.20

"Yeah he's pressing up against my hand." She said smiling. 21

"Do this." Ororo said taking Angela's hand and moving it in an up and down motion. 22

"He likes that." Ororo said as Angela did so.23

Later on in the day Ororo smiled as she looked up seeing Remy walk in. 24

"Welcome home." She said standing and going to him as the two shared a deep passionate kiss.25

"Thanks Stormy...hey there you." He said stepping back as he placed a few small kisses on her belly followed by a few light rubs. 26

"How ya feelin?" He asked.27

"A little better." Ororo said nodding as the two walked off together outside to have a little picnic.
