A Silent Voice

Sitting in the void
of silence and wait,
I listen for your voice
In my quiet, peaceful state.1

Straining my ears
to hear what is said.
I prayed for a sign.
Then the skies turned red.2

Looking in awe
at this marvelous sight,
The wind overtook me
And the world became bright.3

I heard not a word
but sensed a new life.
A plan that would lead me.
An end to my strife.

Yes, I agree. It has an amazing flow to it and the words were beautiful, real, touchable. I could feel the emotion and the melancholy calmness. It said enough, in so few words. Thank you for entering my contest and good luck!

    good,

It's good to see some delicate poetry, there is alot of stuff going around that says far to much but still eludes telling any real story. This is a cool concept and it's done well, flows nicely
