Kat went flying into the wall with a sickening crunch as her ex-boyfriend advanced on her. "Leave me, will you? I'll teach you to try that!" His fist fell again and again, until Kat's face was barely recognizable. She summoned up her strength and punched him back, knocking him off of her long enough to grab a knife from the counter. He rushed her and in the grapple he took the knife from her. He raised the blade on high and prepared to finish her. His primal roar was drowned out by the sound of the gunshot, and he slid limply to the floor, his eyes glazing over. There in the doorway, the smoking twenty-gauge a stark contrast to her pink Barbie pajamas, stood Kat's nine year-old little sister, Trinity. You'd expect her to be crying her eyes out, but she wasn't... It was the look of a soldier out in the field too long, a thousand-yard stare; a look no mere child of nine should ever have to wear...

This was a very different take then what I first thought of the picture but you did a great job with the imagery on it
