As we waited, blankets pulled completely over our heads; my sister and I knew what was about to happen. Just when we thought to ourselves that she had forgotten, mom would burst into the room, roar like a male lion, yank the covers of our heads and tickle us until we squealed “mercy”! 1
She never let us down. Although my sister and I laughed until our bodies convulsed, and tears trickled down our cheeks, we loved the torture!2
Although we didn’t get to choose each other like people choose friends, we are a perfect fit. Soul mates. My mom and I are more than mother and daughter. One day, I was dumped by this cute and talented guy. We listened to his song every time it played on the radio. Unbeknownst to me it really wasn’t his song; he lied. But I believed him. When he dumped me because I wouldn’t have sex with him, my world was crushed. But, my mom came to the rescue. She hugged me and in her comedic way, highlighted things about him I had never noticed. Funny things! For instance, the fact that he was so young but had a receding hairline! And the fact that according to him, he was a published musician, but he didn’t have a car and was always borrowing two dollars from me! In the end, my mom helped me to laugh through the pain! 3
She is always there and deserves nothing but the best and I hope just one day I can be half as good as her!

Aww this was adorable, it really shows a mothers love. I loved the first line where the mother tickled the children.
This was kind of short though, you should have added more, but I loved ie. It was really great -
that was really sweet. I liked it. I would like a litte more description though. I liked ther story, but why not tell us more about her? Tell us more about this experience. This was a very, very sweet story about a mom though. good job!

I would never say anything about your Mum on here or in person, that is not my place, nor would I even find anything to negetivaly say about her. the story was great, short, but amazing and really showing hows Mum's should love, I have a friend who was in a different sercumstance with his family, they weren't the smiley family, that loved and "tickled" their children out of pure affection for them. Love the story and give you the best of luck for the contest!

Refreshing
Ahh. It's refreshing to finally read something that's not drenched in thick, black, emo-gooze. Your writing is light and fluffy... and I like it.
