Hooves And Flesh Chapter 2

As Moira and Jake walked, Jake noticed that Moira was heading away from the town of Randin.1

"And we are going this way because...?" He asked.2

Moira answered, but didn't look back at him.3

"I need to return home," she said simply.4

Over the past few hours, Jake was getting more and more bored. He wanted to know why the townspeople had been chasing her when they were usually very peaceful with magical creatures.5

He was about to voice his opinions out loud but a sudden CRACK had echoed though the air.6

"Well well...*hiccup*....what 'ave we got here...*hiccup*..?"7

A man stepped out before Jake and Moira, holding a nearly empty bottle of liquor.8

Moira sensed that he was not going to attack them, but he had a lot of alcohol, and this human was unstable. Who knew what humans did when they were excessively drunk.9

"Ohh..*hiccup*..a horsie and a regular Joe...cool."10

Moira was beginning to dislike this human less and less with every second.11

"Well excuse me, but could we please pass?"12

The drunkard was surprised.13

"Sure, if you take this with you."14

The human handed Moira a glowing stone.15

Jake looked at it strangely.16

"Ok..." He said.17

Moira glanced at the human suspiciously before walking forward. 18

After a few minutes Jake looked at Moira.19

"Well, what was all that about?" He asked her.20

"I have NO idea." she responded.21

After about an hour, they had traveled onto a worn dirt path and a very masculine fawn with a spear.22

He looked surprised and stared at Moira.23

"M-Moira? You actually got one?"24

Moira shot him a look that could kill.25

"Shut up..."26

Jake was confused but he stuck close to Moira.27

The masculine fawn stepped aside and as Moira and Jake entered, Jake could see large huts and other fawns going about their businesses.28

"Moira!" A voice boomed across the path at them.29

The voice sounded like a Jamaican voice and Jake looked up to see a chestnut colored fawn clapping and galloping towards them.30

"So you came back from the town of Randin, and you even got a human too! Good job!"31
