Part 61

Another week goes by…2

The wedding is next week and I am nowhere near ready3

I will wheel you down in a wheelchair if I have to4

This is pathetic I can’t even hold my head up steady5

And here we thought it was just the flu6

Ryan got a weird look on his face7

He had to sit down for a moment8

As he sat there he started shaking his head in disbelief 9

Then the looked changed to terror and but at the same time his face showed a relief10

This is crazy to be thinking this way11

He continued to just sit there staring into space12

But wouldn’t the doctors have picked it up13

You think that it would have to leave a trace14

Ryan… earth to Ryan… honey what are you doing?15

I was just thinking about something you had said earlier16

Really what is that… oh nothing… I think17

I am going to the kitchen do you want something to drink18

Yes some more lemonade would be nice thank you dear19

He went into the kitchen and poured her a glass20

He stood there and thought a moment and then it came to him21

He knew that he was going out on a whim22

Sarah… who has been making the lemonade23

Why Rachel of course you know that I can’t24

She said it was a special recipe of your Mother’s25

He stood there in the kitchen unthinkable thoughts started to invade26

Well we are almost out so I will make another batch27

As he got out another container and started to hide this one away28

He opened the door under the sink and that is where he found the antifreeze 29

Sarah is not sick and neither was Mom feeling sick he fell to his knees30

His head started spinning around he grabbed the trashcan and started to puke31

Ryan are you okay, what is happening in there32

He wiped his mouth and said I am fine do not worry33

He washed out his mouth and out the window he stared34

It is all starting to make sense now he thought35

The puzzle pieces were all coming together36

What was Rachel thinking how could she do this37

Did she think that she could continue to do this and not get caught38

He brought Sarah some freshly made lemonade39

Wow this tastes so much different from the way Rachel makes it40

He did not know what to say or where even to begin41

Anger… sadness… hatred started to build within42

Looking at Sarah’s beautiful face as she looked up at him43

Ryan what is it… please talk to me44

I have a few things that I still need to work out45

But I think that I may have found the key46

He sat down beside her and caressed the side of her face47

I have a feeling that you are going to start feeling much better real soon48

He told her of his thoughts and what he had found… she just sat there in a state of shock49

I am going to have the lemonade jug tested this afternoon50
