"NO!" Breathing really heavy, her chest caving in as she awakes from her recent repetitive dream, haunting her every-time. 1
The blankets shifted as someone beside her sat up, "Are you ok?"2
"Yeah," Calming down and slowly starting to breath normally. "I really don't like that dream." The man beside her held her whispering in her ear that it was all going to be ok, it was just a nightmare, it didn't mean anything. She heard a scream in agony as his arms released and he was dead, blood streaming out of his forehead. Panicking and unable to scream at such horror. 3
She shot up, sitting back in her bed, everything was normal and the man once beside her she remembered had been gone for two years. Sheryl Laning was just a simple young women at only twenty-five who took life as it was and learned to let go, but losing him never got through her head. Jean Laning, that was his name, only two months after their wedding her first worst nightmare occurred. He died in a car crash. 4
Sheryl walked over to the sink in the bathroom staring at a face in the mirror with tears coming down that weren't new. She had been having this dream for a while. First the haunting nightmare and then she would re-live Jean right there with her, only he would die every-time. She didn't get it, why was this re-occurring every night? 5
The phone started to ring and she looked over at the clock on her bed-stand in the dark room, five am. She walked over to it and picked it up on the fourth ring. 6
"Yes." She answered in her groggy voice.7
"We need you down here now." It was her boss on the other line, sounding demanding as usual.8
"It's five in the morning."9
"When you work with me, time doesn't matter, crimes control what goes on, not whether the sun is up." She could tell his Patience was running out, she could even see his short mustache curl up and his face get all red. 10
"Ok, ok, chill out, Ill be there."11
"You better, I hate to admit this, but for twenty-five, I sure do rely on you." There was a click and the phone call was over. She rushed over to her closet and picked out a pair of jeans and turtle neck. One of her favorite things about her job, no one cared if you wore a suit or probably even your pajama's.12

I would suggest crime for the catagorie... ummm some of your wording was a little rough and there was a couple typos. However you are off to a great start and I certainly do want to see what happens next. I also like how you have revealed some background already but not all. It makes me want to know what else happend. Excellent start

this is off to a good start... i hope it continues.
