Names change, but things stay the same.

My name is Angela. When I was young, I hated it and wanted to change it to Stacy. I thought the name change would just intrinsically up my popularity level, doubtful. I was a small- town girl and hated it as well. 1

Now my name is Malika. I gave it to myself when traveling in Morocco, because they couldn't pronounce it. I was studying Arabic and learned the word 'angel' translated to 'malik'. The 'a' just came natural and then I learned Malika was an actual name all the way to India. Now I live in Chicago and love it. I'm still not popular.
