The Way to Be With You

“Far across this land, where you and I were found.
Love was there, but without a sound.
The eyes of yours, gentle as they can be.
Have made me swim to the deepest sea.
Your hand in my hair, with an heir soon to come.
But this Revolutionary War is something to fear, my love.
It will come to the death of you and me.”
` Johnny1

The night was chilled with an eerie feeling of sorrow and waves of despise; there in the pile of rubbish was a small little poor boy. His clothes are covered with scum that he eats; his face is dark like the mid-night sea of a sky. He was once my son, I tossed him out into the unknown, he hates me wants to kill me, his own dad. But I do not blame him, I had to toss him aside or else the bloody government would have killed him in front of me. The time was in war, the government hated the fact that I had two sons and daughters. They thought we would be safe if we had only two children and all of England knew this but I only heard with half of a deaf ear, which was my down fall.2

They burst their way through my door and threaten my wife to give up our youngest. Johnny was his name, the boy out there in the cold. He was only three at the time when the police came in to give the horror. Johnny ran to them and kicked them both right where the sun don’t shine and ran up stairs, that were spiral shape and only he could fit through. The men ordered me to kick him out as a punishment or the government would come and take him to his own demise, his death. I had to nod; I did not want to watch him be hanged out in public.3

My wife cried in terror from this news, so in the morning I threw him out in the blizzard of chaos. He banged at the door for days until he left us. There was a silence that followed after he left, my wife was not eating, the girls crying, and as for me watching him in the cold made my old heart became that same blizzard. This is his story of what really happened to him. Of what he thinks, how well he is doing and what obstacles he faced through his hard life as a poor man.

Chapter one War in Heart 1781, Black Pool, England
The sky was dark with a hint of red that scraped through the clouds; the breeze was nippy but not too bad to stand in the cold. It was mid-night as I walked past the pub; there were at least ten of them on this street. I had just got back from New York, and went to my girl friend’s house we live together or so I thought. She kicked me out for the fifth time; she is the irony to my own hatred of my father, that bloody fool almost killed me! I kicked at the wall of hard black rock and sit on the edge of it thinking about the past, the good loving past that turned upside down.4

I’m not the begging poor man you think, I steal and hurt others to get what I want, my age is none of any one’s to know. Yes I’m a man and that’s all you need to know for now, but something was in my mind it kept on and on like a windmill. Turning round and round making me sick as if I was out on sea, in the toughest waves of anger. Thoughts came to my head, they felt like night-mares from my childhood, monsters there were.
The thoughts kept saying,
“You’re nothing but an old fool.”5

The voice was my father’s but I have not seen him for over what twenty years. My head ached from the very name of him, Will, I cursed at that darn name living as a poor man, looking in the rubbish cans just to get a meal is not a real life and. Your girlfriend is also poor but still makes money, don’t ask me how. She makes enough for a meal per night as for me nothing can be more lovely then just a shoe with a stick of gum at the end or maybe rotten tomatoes. You tell me is that a meal?6

No I don’t think so not a full grown man like myself, but sometimes there is a good soul who walks by and gives me a meal or even a beer if it’s the holidays. My clothing however is the same long cloak, black jeans, my hair is a bit like a crushed chocolate bar, brown eyes, and my shirt is black as while that’s me. Then again when you’re poor you learn to like what you wear. Even in the winter, you see some people with nothing to even spare themselves with. They look like sorry soldiers all beat up and bloody looking, their feet are the worst blistered and bruised. Some of the children are well on the death side of town if you catch my drift. No wonder, they all die on the corners because their scared of this war, that’s been going on for years now.
Yep, this is how we poor folks live upon the rest of the world sometimes you turn a corner; you see a child on its side the poor lad or lass. Even I had a time where I went to them and cradle them in my long cloak. No three to seven year old should live like this and yes, there are some poor folks who do have babies and such. To me their wasting their own time, why bring a baby into this dark world of poverty and drank life style for? I shake my head in dismay.7

“Fools, all of them fool.”
I said under my breath, the cold breeze turned into a wild bull, a storm was coming…Coming in fast. I looked over to my right, and walked in to a small store. I slipped into a sit and watch the rain come down like cats and dogs. My eyes looked at the falling rain that looked like a women weeping, just like my ex- girlfriend was. As I was day dreaming a girl came and sit by me her hair was blonde, her eyes blue, she looked like she was in her twenties she smiled at me.
“So tell me what your name is?” Her voice sounded like the birds that flew over head.
“My name is Johnny, yours?”
She laughed, “Me? Well its Beth kind of a silly name for a girl like me.” I shook my head.
“No it’s not it suits you and it’s charming .” She blush a little and pulled out a few dollar bills.
“Here, you look like you need it more than I.” I was in shock why would a beautiful woman as herself give it me?
“Why thank you Beth, this should give me a meal for a night.” I smiled at her.
“Do you want me to order you some food?”
I nodded, “That would be great.”
I said with a little guilt of using her just for a good meal. We ate, we talked, we got to know each other after she had left that’s when I noticed I was in love with her. I wondered will I ever see her beautiful face again and her eyes of sapphire blue? Will I ever hear that voice of an angel in this time of dark peril and war?
***
I walk again on these solemn roads, no one was around, no one is here, just the breeze that passes by sending the cries of war to my deaf ears. Beth, Beth, what a name.. A name of peace and hope for these people here in England. Its spring now and it feels good! No more cold nights and cold food but food that is warm. This is the time for the Festival, food, dance, and well free food for all of us poor folk this is the only time for me to stock up on food. As I walk in there was Beth, giving out food to a poor old man, she looked up and saw me. She ran up to me and embraced me into her lovely arms, she smelt like roses in the fields.
“Oh, Johnny you came! Here is some food and water.” She handed a bag and a big water bottle she looked scared , her eyes looked hurt and not the shining glow that I first saw her.
“What’s wrong Beth? You look as though someone as hurt you really mad.” I said, with a little anger in my voice she looked at me deeply into my brown and worn out eyes.
“Johnny something as bad happened to one of my family members.” She closed her eyes and fell on my chest.
“I just heard that my father was killed in action!”
She cried I felt sorry for her, but why? I hated my father but hearing her is sad made my heart ache for the first time in my life. I brushed her hair and put my arms around her and cradle her for a moment, oh how I was enjoying this right now.
“I will go and take his place for you Beth, and make those who killed him pay with their own demise.” She opened her eyes and looked up at me; I nodded.
“Don’t worry about me hun they will pay with these hands that hold you.”
But after what I had said I felt guilty again I know my limits and I’m pushing them to the max as it is. She sighed, and looked up towards the stars that glimmered up there.
“Here take this and remember me.” She handed me a locket, gold and shiver. I smiled and gave her a nip on the cheek as I ran towards the train of soldiers who were departing from the sation aross the street. I did not know when I would be back or how long it would take... But one thing was on my mind I will never die out there. Not if the girl I love is in this demotic pain, I looked back and got the smeel of her perfume and her sorrow…
“You’ll never be alone, I will come back Beth, because you will always be this dark acheing old heart of mine.” I sighed and went in with the other dirty looking young men of eight-teen years of age.
1782, 9:00 am
I waited for Johnny now for a year, my pain as now been doubled I know he loves me. I saw it in his eyes as he said those words before he left. The letters he has sent to me appears that the war might be over soon. The Americans are starting to win; many have died on both sides. From time to time he sends a picture of himself as a captain or someone in hiding like a scared child. The world is now a quite deep sea of loneliness just to see him again and hold him one last time.8

***9

The sun beat down on me like a bad omen, men firing at every one like trying kill off rats. I sit on the ground loading my pistol and dodging the bullets at the same time. I turned around and begun to fire with all my might. I ran towards the Americans like a bull who was seeing red... I was the Americans were the red, and their blood was now a pool of death and sins. I fired and fired and role on my side left to right, right to left and did a summer sulk in a den or a hole.10

I reloaded and went back out a bullet got my back, and my left shoulder but the pain was the reason for me to fire. Even more like an insane man “I will kill you all, you bloody idiots!!” I yelled, hitting one young man on the back of the head. The sun was going down; finally, her rays were yellow and orange as she lay down in her bed. We could see all who were killed clearly their eyes and faces matched the rays of the sun and her glory bed wear of red and yellow. I gave a sad nod, I truly did not want to kill anymore the hatred was now gone, deemed down, descend to a spot of nothing.
As we, the British went back to our camps a strange feeling came to me as though something very bad was coming our way. Like a dark cloud of doom and chaos all of us were feeling it’s grasps just how the iron glove holds the horse. As the sun gave her last yawn and settled by the mountains, the full moon had arisen. At least its rays were full of goodness for this night will be a great one for sleep in our warm beds of straw! Ha-ha at least it’s something. As I arrived to my tent a box and a letter was on the black earth.
I hovered above the box, looking at its core, red with stars?
“Hm, what on bloody earth is this?” I said as I picked it up and strolled in my tent. I sited myself on the straw bed and opened it. It felt heavy and firm inside. I grew excited and opened it…A cat?! The cat was sound asleep in the box I hurried and took it out. The cat’s fur was brownish white, it yawned and looked right into my eyes and glared I looked right back it and set it down. “Now who in the blazes send s me a cat in a box that as no holes for it?”
The cat went sniffed around and jumped on the chair and curled itself and purred a bit. A sparkle caught my eye; I looked down just to make sure no enemies were here. But none were just the letter I opened it and crouched down to read. The letter was written in red ink? No this was far to red to be ink I think. :
Dear Johnny,
It’s me Beth; there is something happing over here in Black Pool, the Americans are here! Johnny they have come here! I’m in hiding but they have covered the streets like bees to honey. I want you to come home! If you can, I love you too Johnny it might be hard to get back home but I will wait for another month, hopefully they won’t find me.
` Beth11

Anger grew inside of me; hate boiled its why to my head, revenge strike its self to the wall of the tent leaving a hole. The cat sensed the change in the room and fled outside I grabbed my gun, my knife because really that’s all I needed. I have my wits and the longing to get even and to me that’s all a man really needs if he is ticked off. A grin came upon my face and an evil look came about my eyes, the Americans had tricked us and went to my home land! So the war was only a decoy to get us off guard and to go and kill...
My fists clutched at the gun and I ran towards where home was, over two hundred miles away.

Beth was staring up at the blue sky that looked like it was at peace the birds chirped and flew. She sighed and put her head on her legs. Tears fell as they always did for her the pain was too much to bear now Beth was alone, very little money, and she wanted this war to end now. But she knows that she has to wait for Johnny to come back into her arms. Bullets are heard from outside as she stands up and locks the door. Her eyes filled with the longing to end all of this, her mind as now come to a decision but will it end her? A voice came through her ears, a serpent it sounded like, it laughed and in that moment something knocked her out as she turned. Shadow picked her up and gave a small chuckled as he combined her bangs that fell to his shoulders.
***
I ran with all my might, the night felt like a cold blanket of death to me, my bones begun to speak and ache. But I pushed the doors of pain open and went forth; with every step I caught my breath. Over two weeks I still walk, as I drew to a close to rest black clouds came my way. But these clouds are dust? No wait there’re ashes! I got up and ran towards where the ashes were coming from. The wind blows harder against my face, as the smell of blood or something horrid came into my since of smell.
I was in a cloud of mist, the smell was bad but the ashes were the worst. I knew what type there were and trust me I was feeling very sick to my gut. I noticed I was walking on the same street a year ago when I meant Beth at the store...Wait it was in ruins? That can’t be I could barely see from the mist and ash but I could make out. Its structure small, brown, and had that broken sign on it, always swinging left to right, left to right. I looked inside, no one, not even a noise or a creek...something was not feeling right at all.
As I was looking around to see if there was anyone, a huge BANG! Was heard from the north of my ears I turned dazed from the sound. Never have I heard something like that before I ran to where the sound was heard. It took me to the sea were ships firing at each other with cannons!
“I have to find survivors and get out of Britain as fast as I can!” I said, “Or we all might be washed away like those dead poor souls, out on sea.”
My eyes were dazed by this war out there on the blue; never in my life have I seen a ship battle not even once! I stood there thinking.
“What to do? What to do?”
Chapter Two, a New Person to Fear
Year, 1783 Black Pool back at home
Johnny watched the ships be bombed to blazes, fire and smoke danced around the dead and alive men that scatter like mice who were swallowed by the flame or by the sea. Either way all of them did not escape this wraith of torture. But out of the darkness was another person Johnny would fear, “The Shadow,” he was called, for his long black hair, red crimson yellow snake eyes, and his thirst for war. Shadow was watching Johnny through the years admiring his bad attitude, and hot headed self of steam. He smirked when he realized that Johnny was fighting for someone he loves.
“Now, there’s a good pawn in the making to serve only me and no one else, his lust desires power…Oh yes, power something I have and won’t mind give it to him. But first as they say we have trapped the mouse with a piece of cheese.” His voice, dark, sinister, and strong made the name of red moon wimpy and not scary at all. Shadow was the red moon, a omen for whom was not to be messed with unless you wanted your life to be thrown out the window.
He walked behind Johnny, in front of him, and even the side of him he was everywhere keeping an eye on his knew pet. But in those red bloody eerie eyes you knew he was up to something…Something dark, evil, decayed. His grin gave his thoughts away, his movements slowly, mocking his prey like a snake waiting to strike at the right moment. Poor old Johnny did not even know what would happen to his beloved, Beth. The one he dreams, talks, and sings about the one who is wants to marry… Will that happen? Or will she pay the hardest sacrifice in order to save him?
***
I finally removed myself from the site of the ships being thrown around like rag dolls, but something was feeling uneasy like someone was watching me, following me and it was creeping me out! It felt like a shadow that had lost its master and was creeping around me. Trying to throw my own shadow aside it was drank type of feeling to have. But then again, it was the time of war and it was very common to feel as though people are looking at you or following you. Then you get anxiety because you think they or who or whatever is going to kill you.
As you can see war is not too messed with because it messes with us so many times, from the mind to our night-mars war is still going to be here. The moon is out now fancy little but big thing up there. I wonder if I was she, Luna, would I feel sad if I were to see people die. Don’t know but I do long to get rid of an aching heart.
“Life now is too mean full for me.” I said under my breath as the wind picked up a figure came from the dark allies.
“Ha-ha life yes, it does have its bad times does it?” I turned to see “The Shadow” grinning at him and coming forth.
“Time as no real reason unless we make it our own…But of course you must lose something or someone to understand what life really means.” The Shadow’s voice came through Johnny’s ears. Johnny looked at him; his eyes were covered with a sheet of pure anger.
“I do not know what you want from me. But I’m not in a mood for any politics right now!” My voice over powered his. The Shadow gave a short laugh.
“What the bloody hell is so funny! I’m not a kid and I’m trying to get to…” He smiled.
“You’re trying to get to Beth aren’t you?” I looked at him, and shook my fists.
“How did you know?” He turned and looked over his shoulder.
“I have her, your little Beth.” Then he was gone as though he was not even there…
I grunted and screamed my lungs out “I WILL FIND YOU AND BRING YOU DOWN!”
I fell to the earth, he took my love, but I will find him and make him pay with all my fury that I have in this body of mine. He will feel the waters of demise and the waves that will crush him whole into the abyss of the dark sea.
***
Beth woke up to a dark and glumly room, the walls were covered with news papers, the ceiling dark and blue. She noticed that she was tied to a poll in the middle of the room a tear came from her eye.
“Why me!?” She cried under her breath, just then a door from behind opened, it creaked and shrieked.
“Calm down my dear, no one will harm you, under my rule. Just be a good girl and listen, think, and answer.” Shadow appeared in front of her putting her chin under his pale snake like fingers. His eyes glowed with an eerie red color that made her shake and tremble He smiled and brushed her hair.
“Who knows I might torture Johnny and after that kill him or make him watch as I make you my bride?” He laughed, and step aside, Beth looked at him with tears going down her child like face.
“Why would you do that___?” She was cut off when he stopped and turned.
“Nothing really dear, all I want is the mouse, Johnny, to serve me..And to get the mouse you need the cheese and the cat will be ready to kill. Understand?”
She looked away, her eyes being drowned by her own tears, all she heard was the door being slammed and darkness consuming her.
***
I was walking in a cloud of nothing but pure hate; I had no idea where that fool took, Beth. I was walking in a trap I knew that well but I don’t really care at this point. The clouds in the sky turn to grey again. “Rain is coming.” I said in a low whisper, there was no one about in these streets. I do not blame them why come out here when bullets are being fired right at you?
There were fallen men everywhere you look, death shot, pale, dark eyes, blood on their faces and bodies. Why must we fight in this way...As you walk further on where the battle is close at hand you see the worst, children, for goodness sakes why them? To make it even more painful there were the kids that I saved from the coldness of night. I picked them up and cradle them in my arms.
No one should die like this, not even the youngest of this world should bear to feel death’s hands. On neither their throats nor even their souls, at least they are in a better place then this, I hope. For their sakes and the rest of the worlds I pray that they sleep in peace. I got up with the small buddle and carried them to an open coffin that was left. I placed both of them in so they could sleep in peace, together. I closed the lid, shoved the dirt, placed the coffin in and walked away. My head down as tears come flashing down. I knew that I was a changed man after this, war. I kicked a rock and was in deep thought.
“How was I so blind not to see others in pain, or in death? My heart knows what to do but my soul is tearing apart. Who am I?” As my thoughts sank in like a drowning ship on fire.
I noticed families coming, no running from their homes clinging to the dead, weeping, cursing banging themselves on the rock brick walls. It’s a sad site to see as you’re walking by looking like a scare crow that covered with mud and blood. The people looked the same tattered and worn out. The loss of a family member is hard but the loss of over thousands hurts deeper than any blade, any bullet, any mad word. It hurts this much because you lost something that you loved, something that was you.
“Every gun made brings one tear, everybody that is in a death state brings more hate, but every hate brings us only one step closer to killing everyone in the world”. A little statement I thought of as I saw those faces of the poor. For they were my people and my family being slaughtered like cattle on a hay field.
My hands in my pockets hiding from the bitter cold breeze that came in last night I help by burning the dead. Might help keep the rest of us from dying from deaise and sickness, nasty job to carry, lift or even look at all the decay around here. But someone has to do it…Just hope I can get to my Beth, before anything happens. 12

Chapter Three Warning I Got You Now!
Shadow lingered in the darkness of the streets, following Johnny as always, catching his dark light on him. He was the claw that wouldn’t brake lose, the fangs that brake any soul, the ripper of man’s life and fears. Poor old Johnny was his next victim, prey, to be withered away by his evil ambition to rule this world and the next. His long black cloak waved through the wind, his red lustful eyes scanned the area and his hands at his sides. He was thinking, waiting, and watching the emptiness that was on England’s shadow.
Grinning he jumped down from the building that he was standing on, landed perfectly un hurt and walked off. He was comporting in his thoughts of how to get to Johnny’s mischievous side but he was still in the dark of his own scheme.
“How will I get that side out of him and how will he find me? “ His face became a huge white line of joy from his pale skin. You could see his snake like features from the light of mid-night sun that was setting across the hills of England.
***
His eyes gleamed with an eerie of the desire to give pain and loathing to mankind. Seven o clocks, in a dark gloomy grave like building Shadow sat in the front chair... Others were sitting with him. Around a long narrow table that sat itself like a dog close to the fire place, the others with masks that covered half their faces. Dark hoods, yellow eyes, brown or black hair, they sat there looking scared, shaking like leaves on trees from a blizzard or a hurricane.
Shadow grinned, showing his dark and chaotic driven mind.
“Okay all of you I gathered all here to talk about Johnny they knew rat. That will be joining us once we have trapped him and torture him to the point where his head. Goes down on one knee and calls me master understand?” Every one gave a nod but one. He eyed this one, his snake eye glared into this person.
“Jack? You don’t agree with me?” He continued to glare at him, the man named Jack, brown eyes black long hair nodded again.
“Why should I go out there to get a poor man?” Shadow laughed.
“Your wolf like attitude made me come to you boy! Because you will go out there by my order! You got that or its dog pound for you and as for your family, death!” His voiced ranged through the old cracked house. All eyes were on Jack now who was still nodding his head
“You touch them, and I’ll cook you alive you filthy son of a __.” Before he could finish Johnny came running in with a smirk on his face and a two guns in his hands.
“Ha-ha I got you now Shadow!” Shadow gave a smirk back.
“Monkey see it dos, so Johnny come for revenge? You’re just in time I was going to kill one of my followers…bad dog he is!”
He smiled and in one quick motion there was a bang, Jack feel back his eyes went into his head, there was a crake from his heading hitting the ground below. Blood from his skull spread itself like an octopus on the floor; his lifeless corpse set there his mouth wide open. Shadow laughed.
“Well that was fun, who’s next?” Silent drifted in the room and a blanket of pain came along with it.
“No one awe how unfortunate I am ha-ha.”
The rest of everyone else looked at their master for further orders; they knew too well that he was in the mood for death. If any did not obey now they were the next to be in blood and a hole in their heads.
Shadow got up from his chair, and put away his gun, and turned to Johnny.
“Oh now Johnny I got you, my little rat that did not see the warning.” He points down to the pale lifeless Jack and gives an evil smirk.13

Chapter 4 Oh No Not Now!
I stood there looking at this corpse; I took a step back and glared at shadow.
“You are one son of a...”
“Na nay I don’t want to hear that nasty word besides I’m a snake man not a *bunny*.” He gave a short laugh and looked right into my eyes.
“You just got yourself in my trap my young good man, and this time you will not escape from me unless, well, you want your Beth to be killed right in front of you or maybe I will pursue her into my bed chambers do you want that eh?” He mocked me as he gave me that awful sneer of his hand on his chin.
“It depends of how you might get to her if you are dead!” He chuckled at me, his snake eyes priced right inside of me.
“Oh my, someone is hasty are we?” I felt those eyes in me beckoning something evil to come out, it was weird but I felt it as he talked.
“Stop looking at me with that hideous snake eyes of yours I do not care if you are an evil villain or even worst then the devil himself!” I continued with my voice becoming more threatened and horse “I will end you here and now! Even if that coast my own life to save someone I dear, Beth please forgive me but I’m might be sending myself with Shadow…If that’s the case live a beautiful life.” I closed my eyes this was the most hurtful thing I know to say and I meant every word...I will miss her, the angel that has saved my soul maybe from this world but not the next.
“Ha-ha how sweet a death wish for his beloved now that‘s just very disgusting! Do you really think a man has power when he falls in love with these witches called women? You must be joking although, I do admire the last saying from your heart and soul before I turn you...It makes me ill by those words you just said.”He took a step forward as his words became more snakes like and more demotic his on two guns on his sides.
“A true man knows when to fight, even through his harsh life he knows what is good and is bad, love can heal those who have been already eaten by the dark abyss of hate and loathing …True, my life has not been a nice child like heaven but at least I found someone to fight for, but your evil intentions will never be around her ever again I’ll back sure of that!” The ground shook, parts of the building fell around us. My voice bounced off the walls, as more dirt, rock and smoke came grumbling down.
“Well this will be fun, to brake you and make you see what true power really is little Johnny, but at alas it’s a pity that the pain as to go to you my friend.” He smirked again but this time reveling snake fangs.
“No, it’s the pity on you shadow that I will have to wipe that smirk off your face with your fangs as while…Snakes can’t really chew right?” I gave a short laugh as I saw him start to hiss at me and the guns pointing in two areas the first to my head the second on my jeans.
“Now I wonder what would hurt more the head or where the sun does not shine.” Shadow hissed and took the first shot, it pissed by a half of an inch.
“Ooo close one snaky boy! But not close enough now watch a real man do it ha-ha.” I clicked by pistol back and a bullet ran into Shadow’s chest. “That’s how you win.” I said once more a chuckle came from behind me.
“Oh, really is that all you have Johnny?” I shook my head back in forth he was alive But how and where?!
“If you want to kill me you have to think like me it was easy to know where you going to shoot boy, but don’t worry I won’t kill you yet just mark you as my own.” I felt a pain on my shoulder, a pain that was throbbing and beating like a heartbeat. I yelped and his let me go, his fangs! Those what got me I put my hand on the wound.
“Argh, what did you do? You snake?” I yelled as I fell on the floor, rolling around in this agony that was too much to control. He bent down to my level I saw his face pale, smooth, and his smiled!
“Nothing really just a way of saying your mine ha-ha that little bite I gave you will become a symbol of some kind and as for the rest let’s just say I hope you can live through my powers.” He gets up and walks off, I was hoping he would slither away like the snake he is but this pain made me feel ill. Darkness kicked at my head and I could not resist it any more my eye lids closed and I was lost in this world of sleep.
***
Beth could hear the gun shots from outside; she flashed her eyes opened wide.
“Johnny, Johnny! Can you hear me? Get me out of here!” She yelled out but she knew that he could not hear her. The walls her made out of stone, a rat came by her feet she yelled the rat looked at her and got on to her ropes. It nibbled at them…She was free but the shots grew louder and louder, the sick feeling of losing him, Johnny; was choking her heart as it gasps for air. She bends down and reached for the roped that still bounded her to the pole. But a hand, pale smooth grabbed her first and a fist strikes her down and threw her to the wall.
She banged her head, her eyes closed as blood feel on her dress, a chuckle was heard in the back ground, she slipped into the state of pain and the abyss of slumber she was silent.
***
Shadow walked; with fast steps the building was still falling down on them all he had Johnny out all ready. But now he had to go back in for Beth as he entered the same room he saw her laying there dead still. He bent down, her breath was hallowed, blood was still pouring out of her head, and she’s alive.
“It’s a shame that I had to do that to you my newly wife, but I have to what needs to be done.” His voice was silent like the grave has he lifts her into his arms, she moaned from the pain and snuggled on his chest. He grinned down at her, “That’s right that chest will be the one from which you will lay on forever my dear ha-ha.” He laughed out loud as he walked out of the falling crumbling building. As the both came out the sun gleamed her last rays of hope towards the little town of Black Pool, for now her rays had become Shadow’s snake like eyes of the next generation of evil and malice.
He walked in the shadows of the streets his movements came upon to Johnny who was captured and tied to a truck. Johnny looked up at him with more blood flooding down his face, he grinded his teeth together from the pain and the anger that was like a boiling cup of tea or a kettle. Shadow walked past him and gave a small slow motion nod. The truck’s engine gave a loud yawn, the wheels begun to move a bit. Shadow threw Beth in the back and went to the front he looked over to the driver.
“Drive.” Was all he said in a serious tone of voice?
***
I thought I heard him say that...Then again the engine was too loud, the truck moved at a paced I could not control it went forth like a bull. I was dragged at the end my legs falling everywhere rocks fly on my face blood covered my knees, and one of my legs gave a crack, I yelled up at darken colored red sky. Alas I fainted from everything and time itself nothing did prepare for this…And poor Beth would happen to the both us? I woke up to a dark place in pain and torment, a sick feeling came in my gut and aslo a dizzy spell was taking its toll.
The worst thing was shadow had accrue a lot of my back ground and life! But like I said before I was not ready for what will happen to us.

Beth moans and groaned in the back seat of the truck, her eyes shut right open in a world of yet again darkness. She could still hear that aberration of a laugh from Shadow’s throat she cursed at his name and banged her head on the steel cold wall, which was holding her down. A laugh from the outside of the truck was heard a first voice came in to her ringing ears.
“So what should we do with the girl?” The first voiced hissed, a second sounded like the Batman’s Clown.
“Well, I don’t know ha-ha maybe ha-ha we should ha-ha fry her ha-ha.” The clowns laughed with each word he/she or an it said. Then Shadow’s cruel voice was heard he was the third one to speak.
“NO! No one will go near her, not yet anyway….Don’t not put her in the same blasted room as Johnny or else I’ll ripe your throats out, Ben and Ken!” She heard him walk away from the other two, the doors open and one of the two, Bens, a huge tall man, that smelled like seaweed grabbed her.
“Get your bloody hands off of me you blasted ape!” She yelled, Ben laughed showing his decayed looking teeth, his voice sounded like an Irish man.
“Yi my dear lady but e can’t…Boss wants yi to be in there cellar...Right over there yi he does.” He nodes his head like a puppy. She gave him the finger and spit on his ugly face.
“His using all of you! He will kill you after this he is a DEAMON!” Ben shocked his head as Beth kicked on his shoulder.
“Na, he is the reasons that we all live in these here land, yi, he found me and he said he will give’em power but not yet.” He looked as though the name of power frightened him.
“Power! Please his power is like a damn devil! He will drown you in the sea with blood choking you and your family will suffer awhile!” He shook his huge flat head, and gave a snort.
“Yi lass, you have a lot of nerve to call him damned you know, and he is not he is the ruler of this place, of fifthly peaceful liv’in.” Beth sighed true there was no reasoning with a man that has been drained of his dignity.
“There will be war with your hid there lassie, and no matter watt he will get watt he came for yi he will.” His Irish accent was getting on her nerves to a point to pop.
A black cool breeze came through their bones an omen was about to be born, Beth knew it but where was Johnny?

Chapter five Big Mistake!
Shadow slithered his way in yet another dark room, but this was filed with huge jars, purple glowing water was filled to the top. Humans! Were in these jars, experiments , he was up to something but this time it was hard to read his mind. That grin, the way he moved and his voice there were no sighns of his intentions. In one of the jars was our beloved friend Johnny, floating in the purple aroma water. Shadow put a hand on the glass from the back of his throat came a small purring sound…His yellow eyes shined and his smile went wider, yes, something dreadful was about to happen to Johnny but as Shadow took the pleasure of his power, Ben came crashing in with a huge thud he broke the wall while with Beth in his arms.
Shadow turned, not hesitantly but in a flash, it was pretty obvious he was pisst off.
“What is good man’s name are you doing HERE!” He boomed, Ben looked like a child, his head went down and his legs begun to shake.
“Yi, me lord, e said to bring in….in…the the the...Gggirl.” He stumbled on his words Shadow shock his head and came to Beth.
“Well my dear we meet again, sorry for my itoditc pawns, their sometimes to stupid to know there bloody names.” He said “Pawn” with a grin; Beth looked at him in demise.
“Your nothing but a pile of a cow’s hole, you ugly monster!” He put his pale finger on her chin and lift it up to his eye level.
“Hmm, you amusing me, yes, there might be a good reason to let you live..After all to make you bride means you’ll lose everything but then again have everything as while.” He forced a kiss on her lips, and chuckled as she threw him off.
“You will never take me as your own never!” She came right in front of his face and yelled, all he did was stroke her.
“Your still slow Beth, very slow indeed, even if I did seduced you into my bed you won’t the difference from a man to a demon doing it to you; But other than that I don’t mind teaching you about what and how a real man can make a women as yourself feel pleasure.” He got up in the old fashion way and walked towards the jar that held Johnny inside.16

Beth gave a gasp, “Oh you’re one son of_!” He turned again and grinned.
“Really? Well I understand how much you hate me now, but to bad hun life is like this, cruel!” He punched a button on the jar, and it open and out came Johnny.

Beth stood there shock, it was Johnny, but not really him he was he was pale as death itself, his eyes had turn to shadow’s and his voice when he tried to speak, nothing came out.
“What the bloody earth did you do to Johnny?” She screamed “Johnny is that you? Can you hear me?” But Johnny kept walking towards her his eyes wide, his hands up, his movement almost zombie like. She step back afraid from what has happen to her beloved man, sorrow tears came from her eyes as she pulled out a gun from her back bag…She held it up to her forehead as more tears went down her face, her finger was about to lock it…
“I don’t think so love.” Shadow’s hand slapped the gun away and threw her to the ground.
“Ha-ha now that’s the spirit I like, killing yourself because of what “I” did to Johnny eh?” He chuckled and came to her…His footsteps echoed, his breath was hallow, his movement stiff. He grinned and smirked as his hand went to her throat.
“No you’re not going to die, that’s my job and I will do it…That’s what a bedchamber is for my dear.” He came to her ear and hissed.
“Even if you did killed yourself there will be no point in saving Johnny or even stopping me Beth.” Beth looked at him then at a John, out of the blue came a very weak voice.
“No Beth no.”

I was very weak and when I saw a dummy that was me I knew what Shadow was going to do with Beth. I walked up them, my face covered in blood the only thing you can see were ny eye and the rest of my hair, I had blood coming from almost everywhere from the torment that they gave me.
“No Beth No, don’t let him get to you my love.” I ached out the words I was in so much pain..One of my legs were gone the other was fine...Both of my arms were purple and they were broke. I walked out to her. She gave a gasp and ran and gently hugs me her hug was very painful to deal with but still I loved her.
“Beth your getting blood all over you.” I said weakly, she shook her head with rage and her tears were now huge pounds that feel.
“No no he was a bad person to do this to you...He divers to go to hell!” She cried with all her might. I could not help but stand there the mark that shadow gave me burned but I slapped off the stinging pain.
“Beth, my dear sweet Beth then I’ll be going to hell as while, he….Is me” I said with a slow nod. She looked up and screamed.
“No that’s a big mistake; you are and will never be like him.” She said pointing her finger towards shadow. I put my head on her shoulder.
“Beth look that man you see, his my brother.”19

Chapter 6 Why?
Shadow grinned as Johnny and Beth were talking; he went up to a throne that was right next to the dummy Johnny.
“So John you saw through this crap of art work, very good little brother.” He said and shows his fake like fangs. Johnny glared at him and then back to Beth.
“It’s true Beth, he is in my blood, I know it hurts but we can be together, if I don’t give up the greatest sacrifice of all, my own life.” Johnny gave a sad nod and a tear came down his blood like face.
Shadow sat there beaming with glee “And to think little brother it will be I who sends you to the never world.” Beth looked up at him and gave her fist some firm.
“Just be glad I don’t come up there and show you what a woman can do you filthy piece of scum.”Shadow raised his eye brows and cracked his knuckles.
“Then come here little child, show me the love.” He narrowed his eyes to the point where no human could narrow. “Let’s make this more interesting and fight a few of my pals eh?” He snapped his fingers and five huge body men came from the back room.
“Come now little Johnny boy, let’s make the pain more real.” He licked his lips and two out of the five came and held Johnny down. Beth screamed when one of them, tall, firm he looked like he came from Germany picked her up Johnny gasped as those huge hands grab him. He screamed out loud when they started to crush these broken arms that were purple.
“That’s right Johnny now feel the worst pain of your life!” Shadow grinned and came to Johnny, loving his moment of power.

I watched as my bother came to me, fear came into my body from the flash back from the other torment he gave me.
***
Flash back
I sat in a room where five men around me they had clubs, bats, and knifes and anything else you could think of that would anyone to death. First I was tied to a chair, they poured hot steam on my face then they put my head under hot goo that almost burned my ear off. AS for my arms while three men pulled my arms back to the point where they cracked, did that three times in a row….After when the torment was over so I thought, they blew off one of my legs and. Left me in a dark room bleeding and screaming alone just as I did when I was thrown off to the lowest ranks of poverty.

I saw Shadow go to Beth with that smirk…I knew what he was thinking that little….Just then I feel into darkness one of the men had punched me in the gut. From what this all worth I cant really tell what happened to Beth.
