3 weeks have now gone by... 2

Ryan I am scared what is the matter with me3

The doctors have ran all kinds of tests4

What on earth could this be5

He just holds her tight to him trying to hide the worried look that shown on his face6

You stay in bed today and just take it easy7

Rachel and I will do all the errands, cooking and stuff8

I feel so badly that you have to do all of this9

I am so tired of every time I try get up I start to feel queasy10

Ryan and Rachel must have been gone about twenty minutes11

When there was a knock at the front door12

Sarah got up to see who it was13

And passed out onto the floor14

The doorknob turned and the door slowly opened15

He picked her up off of the floor and placed her onto her bed16

He got her some water from the kitchen17

When he heard her say… Oh my head18

He peeks in her bedroom is it all right that I come in19

She pulls the blankets around her who is it… who is there20

He comes from around the corner and said here drink some water21

It was her old boyfriend Joe, at one time they were quite the pair22

What do you want… what are you doing here23

Sarah since your birthday party I cannot stop thinking of you24

He came closer and sat at the edge of the bed25

This isn’t my fault you know I was misled26

Imagine my surprise receiving that birthday invitation in the mail27

“A Surprise for Sarah” was what it read; I thought that you wanted me here28

He hangs his head down and shakes it back and forth29

I never should have left you Sarah you were the best thing in my life30

Then to find out you are soon to be another mans wife31

Not meeting a lot of my friends32

Ryan had taken my address book 33

Wanting to throw me a surprise birthday party34

I guess he thought that that was the best place to look35

Sarah I will do what it takes to win you back if you will just let me36

He lies his head into her lap and wraps his arms around her waist37

Joe get up this is crazy you had your chance and you blew it 38

I am promised to another can’t you see39

He lets go of her waist and sits up wiping the tears from his face40

I know that I blew it; getting over you was the hardest thing for me to do41

I stayed away thinking what I had done was right42

Until I seen you here with him that night43

Seeing you in every woman’s face44

I cannot get you out of my head45

During the day is bad enough but then I46

Dream of you when I go to bed47

Joe you have to go… I cannot do this now48

I love Ryan and there is nothing that you can ever do to win me back49

You’re going to have to get over me50

He turns toward the door52

With his head hanging low53

She sat there trying to figure out what had just happened56

In another moment she heard his car start up and back out of the drive57

Laying her head back onto the pillow58
