I grew up in a really, really small town and the only thing that gave me sanity was my next door neighbor and best friend, Katie. Katie moved in next door to my house when I was eight, and twelve years later we are still best friends. Now that we're older and she has two kids, we laugh back on those wonderful, but tormenting years. 1
Katie and I were always looking for a fun time...well Katie was but I followed her along. We tried acting older than we were, but deep down we were still little kids. We always despised our parents..."God, they hate us! Why wont they let us do anything!", Was our favorite phrase. So we made up for the things we were not allowed to do by causing havoc around the town. 2
We loved to make prank phone calls, not the average "Is your refrigerator running" pranks but beleivable, insane phone calls. I will never forget this one day, (forgive me Mother if you so happen to read this), we found a Kama Sutra book and found a page that instructed a person to give...well you know pleasure to a man's "down below" parts. We called a random number and left the step by step process on her answering machine. Low and behold the woman called us back, and surprisingly enough she didn't want that instruction manual in her house. 3
Another memory that still makes me laugh to this day is when we went on a bike ride through the woods on a trail. Katie was in front of me peddling along fast when her tire slipped and she flew over her handle bars. I jumped off my bike to see if she was okay and there she was sprawled on the grass in a bunch of picker bushes laughing her head off. She was laughing so hard she ended up peeing her pants, which brought me into a oblivion of screaming, laughter. I laughed so hard I myself fell off my bike and into the weeds next to her. Before I knew it there was a warm trickle running down my leg...I had wetted myself also! As soon as Katie seen that she was in a rolling chuckle again and it took us almost an hour to controll of giggling before we could hop back on our bikes and peddle home. The whole ride back to our houses we made sure we satyed seated on our bicycle seats as so no passing cars could see our "little accident". 4
I couldn't imagine what my childhood, tween, and teenage years would of been with out that girl and I thank god everyday for blessing me with such a wonderful friend.

Your characters are lively young ladies and their antics are comical.
Hi, people ‘round here just call me Geri; it was a nice surprise to discover a new friend
, so I had to check out your page and your writing.
This happens now and then, I get wished on people who didn’t ask
. I hope you don’t mind?
This was a fun read. A flashback story about the narrator’s early years can be interesting. I suppose it tells us something about their personality. Your characters are lively young ladies and their antics are comical.
This does require some editing, but that’s one of those necessary drudge tasks of writing we all must do.
You are a talented storyteller and I’ll watch for more of your work, if you like?
