Series Two – Part Four1

“Darius what is it about King Elan that just makes you wanna kill the bastard?” Sin asked as they soared through the open nights sky.2

Their Journey had just become. They were fresh hunters, new to the league of the creatures of the night. Turned by their master, made slaves inside immortality and blood lust. They had not wanted this life, they would have given anything to be mortal again and despised the kingdom of vampires. Though once the challenge had arisen to find the prophecy child they knew they had to unite as one to be the first to find him, to save him before it was to late, before the immortal world dominated universal control over their fellow mortals.3

“I have no idea, maybe its the fact he ponce's around like Satan's gift to men, Or that fact that he stole every girl either of us have ever loved and cast her into oblivion.”4

Sin smiled, thinking the exact same thing. How they wished that there was a possible way to drive that stake through his heart. It might of meant the end of their lives, but it was well worth the risk to see the ones they loved unharmed and safe against these brutal attackers.5

“You sometimes have to wonder if he is not in alliance with the wolves the way he so freely tosses us out into the night with no protection, I just bet he has them on side, using them so he knows that no one is trying to betray him and his precious kingdom.”6

Darius nodded.7

“Not to worry I can feel it in my bones, deep in my heart I can sense his fear, they only want him because they know his kingdom is failing. Many have taken to the sun to give up their tired life as immortals, trapped inside a dictation society, made to rest century after century, with no time to be free vampires, no time to feed on our own. Who would not want to give up their rights. We have none anyway, we are controlled, or destroyed, we work for the demons now, we are not free people.”8

The shadows lured down below, as they brushed past the tree's rising high into the sky. It was hard to fly through the dusty clouds while the moon shone brightly, but every now and again when they would get close, it shone a new ray of hope upon them both, Letting them know that to fight, would be a risk, and a risk worth fighting for.9

“Hay, what's that over there?” Sin asked, pointing his claws over to a vacant patch in a paddock. In the distance they could make the outline of a mortal, laying still, unmoving as the shadows floated across him.10

“I have a fair idea,” Darius responded, extending his fangs. “Hurry though we don't want anyone else getting to him first.”

Author notes

♥ Part Four ♥

As you can see Sin and Darius are not the kind of hunters you would expect to find in the league of the living dead ( they despise King Elan) With good reason, he is an arrogant ass hole...

Hope you enjoy

LOL that line! "Ponce's around like satans gift to men!" I love that! Hmmm I know some of those myself. King Elan sounds like a complete bastard.

Great chapter. I like Sin and Darius and the fact that they don't kiss the king's ass. The description you used for the sky when they was flying is brilliant!
