A Life that Must be Simple

I’d like to tell you that my life is black. That it is stained by the smudges of evil intent, and not a single portion of pure white, of innocence, exists. And then I’d like to tell you that it's happy, and there’s freedom, and to breathe and drink and live .1

And if I wrote poetry, that would be what I would feed you. You would see me at my darkest moment. And then at my happiest. You would see me in sliced portions. Snapshots. But poetry is not life in that it does not flow like life, from one moment to the next.2

Because light is in the darkness. And darkness in the light. And with that thought, I suppose, my own story begins.3

Author notes

I think this will go with my "Taste of Rain" thing. Just the beginning of a story.

I absolutely love the ending of this introduction for your story they are VERY true. You have to go through the darkness to find the light and sometimes when it's light darkness will take over. GREAT job!
