The coroner started her autopsy and made note of the abrasions and bruises all over her face, the right side of her head was crushed which left her right eye hanging on by a thread 2

note…this was not from the decomposing process it was knocked out… but with what? He looked puzzled and continued to search… talk to me young lady he whispered who did this to you…3

A couple of weeks have went by… 5

He seen her from a distance as she stood in line for the afternoon movie 6

Parking his truck in the near by lot he hurried and snuck up behind her7

Tapping her on the shoulder… any suggestions on a movie to see8

She turned and smiled… Hi, how are you… are you here alone9

How is Rachel and where is she10

Right now she is staying with my Uncle Jack and Aunt Amy11

For the time being there is no way for her to be able to stay with me12

Sarah asks… please won’t you join me I would love your company13

They got some drinks and a tub of popcorn and found their seats14

The movie started and the lights grew dim15

He found himself looking at her through the corner of his eye16

Could she like someone like you, he thought to himself… awe don’t be so grim 17

He had not stopped thinking of her since that dreadful day18

Thoughts of her is what kept him going through all of the hard times19

Longing to see her beautiful face he dreamed of once again holding her in his arms20

How he hated to leave her that day how he wanted so badly to stay21

In the darkness he found her hand and held it in his22

She smiled a warm smile and snuggled closer to him23

His heart pounded with excitement… could this really be24

She laid her head on his shoulder… is this really happening to me25

Walking hand in hand out of the theatre early that night26

They decided to have dinner at the local restaurant27

Finding a cozy little spot just out of the way28

They cuddled together in the candlelight29

Both of them so immersed with one another 30

He does not notice his Aunt Amy or Rachel at a table near by31

Rachel watches as her brother and Sarah snuggle up together32

Her Aunt Amy scolds her … Rachel it isn’t nice to spy33

But that’s my brother he didn’t even notice me34

She hangs her head as if to pout35

I’ll be right back I’m going to go say hi36

Her Aunt asks for the check as the waitress walks by37

Since when do you walk by and you ignore your baby sister38

Rachel I am sorry I did not even see you39

You remember Sarah from the other day40

Yes I do, so when did you meet up again with her41

For a twelve year old you sure are nosey 42

Where’s Aunt Amy I would like for her to meet…43

She went out to the car so that she could smoke44

What I really wish is that she would just croak 45

I am sick of their rules and the way they treat me46

I know you are unhappy but you got to give it a rest47

I wish I could stay with you that’s where I’m suppose to be48

You know until the lawyers say it is ok your just going to have to make the best49

She turns around and stomps out to the car50

Sarah I am sorry that you had to listen to that51

I love my little sister we are pretty close52

But man there are times when she can be a brat53

He just sat there looking at her in the candlelight54

Studying the curves of her face55

Looking deeply into her olive green eyes56

He began to feel light headed almost hypnotized57

She smiles and moves closer to him58

She cups the sides of his face and brings him even closer to her59

Their lips meet and a surge of energy passes through them60

He opens his eyes and everything is a blur61

Never in his life did he imagine a kiss could be like that62

They decided to leave and he drove her home63

They made sweet love all that night64

Until the early morning light65

Months have gone by…66

Lying in bed embraced in one another’s arms67

Ryan, how much do you love me68

He looks deeply into her eyes I love you more than I love life itself69

I have been thinking, I want you to move in so we will always be70

A couple of weeks later all of his stuff was moved into Sarah’s house71

They did everything together and were quite happy72

Sarah’s birthday was coming up in another month and Ryan had a big surprise for her73

He wanted everything to be perfect and not stupid or sappy74

He made the final payment on the ring and picked it up from the jeweler 75

Stopped by the bakery and ordered her favorite cake76

He had the invitations out two weeks before77

At this moment in time he couldn’t have loved her more78
