Part 11
The stench of rotting flesh begins to fill the air2
Her lifeless remains lie in an endless crust of dried blood 3
It had been weeks before anyone came knocking at her door 4
her body still had a story to tell of how she ended up at the bottom of those stairs5
6
It was early spring; the air was so crisp and fresh, the sun was shining bright7
Puddles began to fill the sidewalks and streets from the freshly melted snow8
She walked carefully along with a grocery bag in each arm9
Singing to a song that she liked and hummed to the parts she did not know10
A truck going rather fast hit one of the puddles and soaked her groceries and all11
The truck had stopped and pulled back up to her12
A young man came running to help her, with a small smirk on his face13
I am so sorry… I know you must think of me as a disgrace14
He helped her pick up her things and asked to give her a ride home15
Do you mind if we stop on the way, you will then see why I was in such a hurry16
He turned the corner and pulled in the drive 17
A little girl came running when they finally arrived18
She’s not doing very well, in fact she is pretty bad19
We have to wait right here the doctor is in with her now20
He sits down and puts his face in his hands21
She just stood there looking at them… how could she stay mad22
I will walk home from here; I hope that she is going to be all right 23
He looks up at her with tears in his eyes24
It’s the funniest thing you know we thought that she just had the flu25
He sits down again his shoulders begin to shake and he cries26
She sits beside him and runs her fingers through the side of his hair27
His head comes up and looks her in the eye28
They only study one another’s face 29
No words are shared30
The doctor came out from his Mother’s room31
The painful look on his face and a subtle shake of the head32
He grabbed his sister and held her as the doctor gave them the news33
That their dear sweet Mother was now pronounced dead34
She walked the doctor to the door and thanked him for all that he had done35
Walking back into the room she over heard the little girl say 36
Ryan what am I going to do now, where am I suppose to go37
We will figure all of that out on another day38
She stayed until the coroner’s carried their Mother out to the car39
The room smelled of sickness and death40
She felt a shiver go up her spine41
As she started to walk home it wasn’t that far42
Headlights shone brightly behind her43
The truck stopped beside her and he asked her to get in44
We couldn’t let you walk home tonight45
So please get in and do not put up a fight46
She climbed in the truck and she gave him directions to her home47
My name is Ryan and this is my sister Rachel, I am so sorry for today48
I never imagined meeting a woman quite like you this way49
Her cheeks now slightly blushed my name is Sarah50
Ryan and Rachel helped Sarah carry in her groceries51
Sarah laid Rachel down in her spare room to try and get some rest52
She made Ryan and herself some coffee 53
They talked until the wee hours Ryan got a lot of things off of his chest54
He laid back on her couch and fell fast asleep55
Sarah walked over and covered him with a blanket56
Nightmares haunted him throughout the rest of the night57
She was hoping and praying that Ryan and his sister would be all right58
The morning sun was shining brightly through the patio window59
Ryan squinted as he tried to open his eyes60
At first he did not remember where he was61
He sat up a bit alarmed and startles Sarah as he does so62
I bet you are hungry why don’t you and Rachel wash up63
I will make you some breakfast... so what will it be64
You do not have to do that you have already done enough 65
I want to do this for you please let me66
Ryan went and got himself cleaned up67
Rachel soon followed behind68
Sarah set a beautiful table and set out quite the spread69
I made a little of everything I hope you don’t mind70
They sat and ate and talked for awhile71
Rachel watched as Ryan smiled intensely at Sarah 72
I guess we should go we have a lot to do73
Thank you so much for all that you did for us too74
Rachel hugged Sarah and went out to the truck75
Ryan stood there and did not move only stared down at the ground76
Sarah walked holding her arms out to him77
They embraced tightly neither of them making a sound78
They finally broke free and looked deeply into one another’s eyes79
He turned and got into his truck and shut the door80
They all waved to one another as he began to drive away81
How much she had longed for him to stay82

When a tradegy happens in life those around you (whether you know them or not) seem to come to your aide... you form a special bond within minutes that sometimes last a lifetime...
Sometimes love ... true love... can happen in a single glance...
Fast? No I do not think so, I have seen it, experienced it first hand... realistic yes... but I guess only to those who have experienced it themselves, someday you will look back and agree
Besides... you write anything too long around here and no one reads it, have to get to the point fast... LOL
Thanks for reading!!!

Hm... It sorta seemed weird... 'cause they just go to know each other, and then all of the sudden, she's making breakfast, and he's hugging her... it seems pretty fast...
I like it. It's really good. But it seems a tad bit unrealistic... Y'know what I mean? -
great
This was terrific...it grabbed me by the horns and held on... I shall enjoy reading the next instalment
