Winter Day

It was like walking on crackers. Every time I took a step, the pale snow crunched under my brown, leather boots. The snow was falling steadily and whenever I looked up, a beautiful, white snowflake seemed to land on my nose. The thick, warm snow pants kept me warm and my red and white gloves kept my chilly hands and fingers from freezing to death while I built my snowman and threw snowballs. The snow was packed tight and my sturdy boots were firmly tied, to make sure they wouldn’t slip off. I heard the frigid wind whizzing past my ears. I felt the snow seep through my sweater when I tripped. It melted and made me cold, which is why I hurried home and sipped some hot chocolate while sitting front of a blazing fire.
