Ever since I came to this town2
At the tender age of eight. 3
There has been nothing but bullying4
Harrasment and abuse. 5
I don't know why6
It seems people have invisible signs above their heads7
Saying 'bully me!' 8
Something only bullies can see. 9
Four years in Primary School, 10
Teased continually, 11
'Ew, look at your clothes!'12
'Teachers Pet!'13
'Stupid, stuuupid, stuuuuuuupid!'14
I put up with it. 15
The teachers did nothong. 16
They NEVER, EVER did. 17
Ever. 18
Then came the big school. 19
The first few weeks were a blur. 20
A big, hazy blur 21
Of homework, numbers and rules. 22
But no-one said a thing. 23
Until one day. 24
Someone from my old school mentioned they knew me. 25
It started. 26
All over again. 27
The name calling, the teasing, the bullying. 28
From class to class, from year to year. 29
Until one year, my ffth year. 30
Almost all the idiots had left. 31
It was just meand the nice ones. 32
Alone. 33
It was a happy year. 34
So was the start of sixth. 35
Yes, just the start. 36
Until he came. 37
I was nothing but nice to him. 38
You know, the way you are39
To shy, unknowing people. 40
But his true colours eventually showed41
This time he had talked to no-one from my old school, 42
As no-one from my school was left. 43
Snide comments, nasty remarks, 44
All aimed in my direction. 45
Religous abuse46
Derogatory sayings47
Internet abuse. 48
On one site he vented his frustrated 49
Religous hatred50
Upon and about me. 51
The foul language, 52
The crude remarks53
Infuriate me. 54
But what can I do?55
The teachers NEVER, EVER listen. 56
Ever. 57
Author notes
It's all true. I am female, and I wrote this for discrimaination because I am sick of it in this world. This is all a true poem, all because I was a Jehovah's Witness.

I hate bullying, and I look up to people who have been bullied, because they have been through pain and suffering, and are still standing infront of me. Living their life. I too am buillied, both physically and mentally, so I know how you feel.
I can really relate to this poem, and I thought it was very emotional filled.
Great job, and thanks for entering my contest
good luck!

Good free verse
Good message and the instances of repetition work well. The closing at the end is a good entry because I suspect that most did not anticipate that and it therefore has a more powerful message. As a teacher, I know what some places are like. Respect is the lecture my kids get the first day. Do it or get out of my room. Good luck with the rest of your life.

Powerful Stuff
Mmmm. A couple of spelling issues, but I really like the simple, stripped down tone of this one. The teachers NEVER, EVER listen is especially powerful. And it's probably true. They always teach you growing up to tell your problems to adults, but outside of Elementary School, that hardly ever helps. Well done. -
Wow, very moving, i liked it alot. I understand I was bullied to, its part of a reason I still anger at those people although they forgot and moved on in high school. It still effects you alot and what is even worse is when its you own friends that turn on you. I agree it sickin to know just cause they don't understand you get picked on, but i feel and pity on those that bully cause they are onces confused and lost.

I totally understand where you are coming from. I remember dealing with a lot of crap when I was in school. Teachers just turn a blind eye to so much. It's like they don't care at all. No one should discriminate you no matter what your faith is. That is crazy. I know people do though. It's sad how this world is sometimes. Good luck in the contest you entered this in

Wow, I really like this.
Obviously, I hate what this says, it's so cruel and sad. But your poem is still beautiful, as ones like these are, and you did very well with it.
Bullying is so sad, yet not many people thing of it, except the ones bullied. That's why I wanted to have this contest.
It's a perfect thing to enter about being discriminated against; your religion and who you are for absolutely no reason.
Great entry, thanks a lot.

Bullying was one of the reasons I started writing. I feel you.
I don't get it, and when we watch movies and stuff about it in classes [I had to watch one my Freshman year in English....and attend a Freshman's Workshop....and fill out a survey for it.], I cried. It's upsetting. And bullying is disgusting.
I'm done ranting.

I never understood bullying... like, what's the point of it? How does it help you through out the day? I wasn't bullied at school (at least to my knowledge, I can be pretty oblivious.) My little sister teases me a lot though and for silly things like having glasses (she has glasses to) or having fair skin (so does she) or how my teeth *used* to be crooked. Bullying is just silly.
Stay strong and do your best to ignore it.
And parents never listen either.

We all feel for ya.
Been there, everyone has after awhile... no one escapes humanity's need to feel superior over its fellow man...
but eventually we all learn compassion...

I know who you are talking about
Kais, I know what happened, and who you are talking about. You know how I much I also hate this person for what he says about people.
Kais, you know that I also went through it. Even before you came.
