Just recently I discovered that there’s a very specific Psychiatric Term for the Disorder that defines many of my life’s experiences. It didn’t come as a surprise to me after having gone through years of contemplation, meditation, study & therapy on the issues I face daily. I’ve a Psychiatrist friend who gave me a copy of what’s called a DSM. It’s a manual with a listing of Psychiatric Illnesses with numerical classifications for Insurance purposes. This little book has helped me in ferreting through some of the challenges I face & has also helped me to understand “significant others” in my life.3
One Biblical thought always comes to mind in reference to man’s understanding of man: Isa55:8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.4
Eze 18:25 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?5
The best that man has in terms of knowledge of The Truth will always be insufficient. Without the recognition of His Word as The Manual for life we will always be walking in darkness.6
1Cor 1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.7
Jer8:9 The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them? 8
Joh 8:32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Joh 14: 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.9

When I re-experience a Trauma through another or an occurrence that reminds me of the past I have to summon my inner strength with Father’s help to get a “reality check”. This can be a difficult thing to do when one’s emotions are out of balance & when we experience feelings of being “under attack”. Self talk is very important in these instances & when one’s thoughts are centered in His Word Satan’s attacks are rendered useless. Heb4: 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.11

We all came into this world as sinners, born to sinners, experiencing life with sinners. We all need Salvation & forgiveness. We all need to give forgiveness in order to receive the forgiveness that’s been granted to us. We need to forgive others & ourselves. 29
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.30
Mt7: 12 ¶ Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.31
Ro 13: 8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.32
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.33
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.34
We are called to love those who’ve oppressed us & who have treated us unlovingly. We are called to follow in the footsteps of our Savior, to do as He did. He was reviled, mistreated, scorned, hung on a cross so that we might have His Life in us. His Life in us means the sacrifice of our lives for the lives of others. 35
Phil3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,36
9 ¶ And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:37
10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;38
11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.39
12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.40

When we die to ourselves we Live in Him. It is enough that a servant be like his Master. If He so loved me that He came here to die for me that I might have Eternal Life in Him then the solution for the Dis-ease of “Complex Post Traumatic Disorder” is in remembering that He sees me as precious in His sight & that I’m forgiven by the acceptance of the Precious Blood of my Savior Who cleanses me & forgives me all my inequities. Who am I that I should not forgive myself or others for their humanness? Who am I if I do not live up to the Standard that He left for me through His Life? By His Grace I am what I am. I am His child saved by His Grace & forgiveness. HalleluYah. What a Savior!43
