The discovery of a mouse skeleton buried in the remains of a miniature Viking longship has prompted worldwide speculation. The mouse was dressed in the regalia of a Viking warrior, complete with a tiny button painted as a shield, an exquisite miniature long sword. And tiny fur boots. Testing from the university in Oslo verified the antiquity of the tomb as being consistent with the reign of King Haagred in 1085 AD. Morgan Creavy did not sound at all like a Viking name, but a child in Rapid City, South Dakota suggested it to the selection committee.1
