Do you want to be? (ch 2)

K.C sat in History pondering what Ryan asked. She had always considered herself a Christian. But did she want to be? She sighed and turned her attention back to the discussion at hand in class. They were discussing world religions. Great. More religious talk. No matter what she did today religion was everywhere. Her Teacher, Mr. Jakub, was talking about what the Christian bible said.1

“In the bible it states that every person was given a choice, if they chose to follow Christ or not was their decision…”2

An hour later the bell rang, and K.C left the room in a hurry. She wanted to get out and talk to Ryan. She had English with him and wanted to discuss what they had talked about that morning. As she walked into the class, Ryan was already sitting in his chair. K.C walked over and sat next to him.3

“About your question this morning,” She started.4

Ryan looked at her, “Which one?”5

“‘Do you want to be?’” She quoted from that morning.6

“Oh yeah. What about it?” He said, shrugging.7

“I have an answer. Ask the question again,” she said and waited.8

Ryan shrugged and asked the question again, “Do you want to be?”9

“I wouldn’t be if I didn’t want to be.”10

I really like this story. I deal with the same issues except it comes from dad. I love the fishnet and chains and black clothing. I've been called a goth or freak, but I'm not. I love the Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart and am proud to call myself a christian. Awesome story, is it just something you thought up or does it stem from real life?
