Hayden, (Serenity Prayer Spoiler inside)

Hey, My name is Hayden James and I'm writing this because this guy Jim at my AA group says I need to figure out what I know about myself. So here it goes.
I'm seventeen and a junior in high school. I have brown hair and my mom's Grey eyes. I was born in a small town in Louisiana and i just recently moved to another small town in P.A. I'm not your typical simple, small town kid though. Simple is far from the way you would describe my life. I'm not really sure where I'm going in life. At the moment I'm focusing on just getting to tomorrow. One day at a time.  If I can't tell you where I'm going maybe I should tell you a little bit of what has happened in the last seventeen years.
Well... my mom took off when I was five. My dad is... well he coped with the stress and stuff by drinking. And taking his anger out on me. I had my first drink when I was ten. It was an Old Milwaukee beer. I used to let dad get a few beers in then I'd start drinking that way by the time he was drunk and raging I was drunk too. When I hit age 15 I started fighting back. I remember the first time I hit him. I was so mad. I just lost it and saw red. But anyways over the last seven years I've become what they call an Alcoholic. It means I depend on the escape booze can give me I guess. So two weeks ago I moved to PA to live with my Aunt and Uncle. It's helped to get away from my dad. I've been mostly sober since I came and I'm going to AA meetings twice a week. I met a girl to. I think I might have found someone who gets me. Her mom was an alcoholic or a recovering one like me I guess. I don't really know what else to say. I'm me, just a seventeen year old screw up trying to fix his broken life.
