Sir Random Robin

There was once a random knight called Sir Random Robin. He would do the most random things, like cut himself on his sword to see if it was sharp enough to take into battle. His fingers and arms soon looked as if a bunch of wolverines had messed with him.1

One day, he was riding throught the forests of his hometown of Nuts. His horse, Random II (Random I had retired after Sir Robin confused him with a clotheshorse and hung several wet clothes on him to dry) was thirsty and whinnyed loudly.2

Random Robin looked around for a pool or a pond or a stream, quite forgetting the full canteen of water at his waist. He saw one in the distance and made for it.The surface of the water was cool and clear, and sparkeld in the daylight sun.3

Robin let his horse drink. Then, seeing how refreshing the water was, he decided to take a swim. Now Random Robin had never swum before, much less with a full suit of armour on him.4

Predictable result was that he drowned, and Random II passed on to his son, Sir Robin Daft, and they went crusading together - at least until Sir Daft tried jousting, and, wary of suits of armour now that one had killed his Dad, faced off the other jouster with a thin tunic on him, and ended up with a spear through his chest.

Author notes

Blimey, this is just random stuff here.
I would like the stop signs to be green.

Heh. Funny. It seems too short. I think you could add more random things to this or lengthen each character's part. But that might just be the novelist in me. I don't do super short very often. I try to write a short story and it ends up being 10 pages. *shrugs*

Good job though. Thanks for entering the contest.
