Waiting on Life

Life. It's a fickle thing really. CS Lewis says that "Life is too deep for words, so don't try to describe it, just live it." And those words really say it all. 1

When you think about life there are thousands, millions of things that you can say about it such as living, excitment, saddness, inspiration. But there are no words in the English language that truly capture the essence of that which is life. 2

Life IS too deep for words. The human mind is lost within the possibilities of life and will find themselves searching for a meaning when the meaning is the act of being in itself. 3

From an author's point of view, making a living on trying to describe characters lives is but a fantasy. No single individual can write true life. It cannot be captured. They can come close, in great masterpieces and texts, but something always comes up short. 4

The concept of life surpasses every human thought. It truly is undescribable, and in this sense, it should be lived. Lived to the fullest, lived to the ends of the world. 5

Can authors truly describe life? Can they capture it with words? Is everyone searching for the perfect novel to explain the meaning of life? 6

They'll have to keep waiting. And in that waiting they will not live, losing out on the actual meaning of life.
