"What color are your wings?"1

The question provoked an irrestible urge to break down and show her my soul. Everything I had to offer was bursting from within me. 2

What color are my wings? Tell me, my beautiful little angel, what color are yours? A deep magenta, a captivating tangerine, an endless ocean blue? Mine? 3

I'd say they change. When the sea is shining under me, and the breeze is flowing through my feathers, it must be blue. A beautiful, neverending aquamarine. When the hands on the clock of a human's life slowly ticks to a stop, they're a deep violet, filled with the sorrow of a thousand lakes. 4

When I'm with you, they seem to turn pure white, like your soul, like your innocence, your purity, your beauty. Like your perfect smile or your blind eyes. You ask me one more time, once more with feeling, once more so you'll know exactly who your guardian angel has been all your life. So once you get to Heaven, you'll know who to thank for twenty-three years worth of protection. You ask me, in the most innocent voice I will ever hear in all eternity: 5

"What color are your wings?"

    lol! i thought you were actually talking directly to me, and was trying to figure out who you were because of the annonymous contest thing. I'm actually legally blind lol. But the 23 years thing dosen't make sence, so you stopped being a scary stalker at that . I love this, the way it's speaking to someone, and changes. Good work
