All I need for christmas (part 2)

Amber held her steaming cup of tea tight in her hands. Alicia, her friend that she met at a teaching course, sat opposite Amber. Jake stood by the sink, watching Alicia comfort Amber. 1

"He loves me Alicia, I know he doe's. It's my fault. Shopping." Amber whined, gently sipping her tea.2

Alicia stared at Amber and shook her head, tears slowly lacing her eyes.3

"get a grip Amber. This is classic. That sicko is beating you and your taking the blame, you know you've done nothing!"4

"How do you know?"5

"You've never been in such a long term relationship. Then Carl came along and your so keen to keep the love alive that your willing to put up with his abuse! Come on, you can do better than him!"6

There was a moment silence. Jake turned to look at the girls, he could have whipped out a knife and used it to cut the tension. Slowly, Amber rose up, placing down her tea, she clenched her fists until her knuckles were white. 7

"Your so annoying! You think you know me! You really think you understand me. Back off, I'm telling you now, no one tells me how to think!"8

"Amber, calm down, your stressed..."9

"Dam right I'm stressed, you telling me what I'm thinking! You think I can't think for myself. I don't need this. I'm going back where I'm loved, home."10

Amber threw on her coat and kissed Jake on the cheek, thanking him for being so kind. Jake savoured her smooth lips on his skin, he felt as though he would melt at her touch. 11

As Amber began to walk to the door, Alicia's chair scrapped against the floor ad she jolted up.12

"But your not loved by him, your his punching bag."13

After a moment of skin crawling silence, Amber turned on her heals, threw down her bad and launched onto Alicia. She began to claw at her face with her sharp nails. Jake dropped his mug to the floor, allowing it to smash as he went to separate them.14

"Stop this now! Amber, get off her please!" Jake pleaded, trying to prise her away.15

Alicia screamed, enduring the pain, not retaliating. Eventually, Jake pulled Amber away. Alicia slowly rose, red marks on her face. The fury slowly faded from Amber's face as she slowly broke to tears. Alicia pulled Amber from Jake and led her into the lounge. Jake looked bemused but knew whatever Alicia had to do, was most likely right.16
