The color of my wings... as they define me?1
Dark as night, but with that slight bit of a lighter tinge to it, hope and happiness lingering right around the corner. Heavy as black, but a little lighter of a burden on my back. Upstanding, yet royal and humble enough at the same time. Passion and frozen ambition combined together, redder in the open air and bluer beneath a sheath, like the life stream that runs through every man, fierce like the beating of a heart, but subtle and soft enough to pass unnoticed unless you take a closer look. Blue beneath, showing my despair, but red above, showcasing the passion I possess.2
They're heavy, yet light enough to carry my weight upon the wind, darker in places, but brighter in others, an iridescent hue to some parts while others seem inky, an abyss of sorts. Some parts seem vibrant while others dead, balancing each other out with a smile and a frown. Light and dark meeting in a myriad of colors, combining to create only one. They represent pride, of which I am subtly guilty of at some point; tears are never of this hue unless mixed with the elixir of life. Only then can you bleed of this shade, and one goes hand in hand with the other, like lyrics and music to create a soulful tune.3
Royal and regal, yet dark and mysterious, original and imperial, I suppose the color of my wings are Tyrian purple. They are tattered, but not yet broken, redder in places where the wear of the world hints at possible breakage, but I haven't fallen yet. I haven't failed.
Author notes
Tyrian purple is the color of the background on this piece, just so everyone knows ^_^

Wow...just great over all.
The descriptions were so vivid and everything was just so well written.
I personally think my wings would be white, because I feel that I am hopeful and over the years I have learned that that same hope I make myself feel can also help others.
Haha, just rambling now, but still great description! -
this is about the colour i imagine mine to be
. its beautiful. your story confuses me though, you originally said black as night and white, making me think of grey. i love the idea of the opposites, good work.

The Tyrian purple color is gorgeous! Wow wings made of that color would be incredibly beautiful. I love your vivid descriptions of them. It makes it so easy to just picture them in my mind. Good luck in the contest!

that's very nice. so is Tyrian purple. ",redder in places where the wear of the world hints at possible breakage, but I haven't fallen yet." that is my favorite line. Saying that you can see where you've worn down but you're still ready to move forward. Such a summing up of life in general. Great job and great imagery!

Oh that's an amazing beautiful colour. This was a sweet description of describing your wings.
Goodluck with this, you have something heavy and flowed here.
