Have shame in your actions and people will ridicule you for them, but have pride in yourself and nothing can truly bother you about yourself.

If you let people make fun of you and they know it gets to you, they will do it as much as they can. If they know that you arent ashamed of doing what you did, they wont want to make fun of you for it because it wont make them feel better about themselves. People suck sometimes

i do think people can be mean and cruel at times with their actions, insults and putdowns. itz like if they are not happy, they don't want others to be happy either. very thoughtful and insightful quote, DARK.
