A child no more than twelve years of age awakes on his birthday ready to become a teenager. Never had the perfect family, three sisters, two brothers. Mom was a drunk, dad worked a lot. He was forced to become an adult before he even knew of the word responsibility. Since it was a special day, he figured he'd put his pain aside. Everything started out fine until mom came home from work around 3 p.m. She started screaming about how the animals had not been fed, how the house was not clean. Like this was his responsibility anyways, he was a child. She hit him so hard across the face his lip shed blood. Always thought he got what he deserved. Siblings could take a stand, to scared to speak their minds.Covered his lip with his ice cold finger to stop the blood flow and stared at the front door. Father was home. He was always happy to see his father, they never fought once. Mom comes into the room and pulls the father aside. You can see the anger in his face as she mumbles over the sounds of cartoons. Gets a back hand across the face. What is this? He doesn't understand. No one could give him an explanation, this time he fought back. Arguing for over an hour, thought he lost all respect from his dad. Shattered. Went to his room to spend his birthday alone. Cried himself to sleep. Wake up! There was a banging on the front door. It was the police. They said they had found the body of Michael Bowser in a vacant parking lot about five miles away. Said he shot himself, put a gun down his throat and pulled the trigger. In his few hours of sleep what he didn't know was his father had gotten in a physical fight with his mother and left without saying a word. Couldn't speak, the only thing to do was drop to his knees and cry. His mother told him it was his fault and he was ungrateful. His heart was breaking his whole life, this just took a hammer to it.1
The boy in this story was me. This actually did happen, and I no longer believe this was my fault. I have been through a lot in my life. I have delt with death so many times. My sister, brother, father, mother, best friend all either committed suicide or died of a disease. I have learned so much in my life. You see, life is a lesson you learn as you go. As you go you get confused, lost, and tripped up. In the end, although its hard to see at times, everything happens for a reason. No matter what anyone does all people are good people but people mess up. Find peace and happiness in what you do. Watch the clouds. Stare at the stars. Listen to the rain. As hard as it is sometimes you have to give up on people. Everyone that is in your journey is meant to be in your journey but not everyone is meant to stay there. Find someone who makes you better. Learn from mistakes. Love those that love you. Smile. Let it go. Joke, laugh and play. Learn to waste time with the people you love, don't chase the first star that rises. Put yourself in others shoes. You don't know people's pasts. Forgive, forget, and be thankful. Be there for those that need you, even if u don't want to. Accept that which comes your way. All things turn out okay in the end.2

Wow man, that's.....insane. Not many could go through so much, and see the brighter side, or could they come out learning so much. It seems you have a gift to look past what others complain about, and see what they cannot......as you can see, my moto is..'and then there are those, who make it worthwhile.' Great write, and good luck in everything you do.
