What an Imagination Can Do to You

While walking on the soft sand and admiring the reflection of the moonlight on the surface of the glistening water. I was admiring the beautiful pattern on my towel, when suddenly a movement on the water, some distance away, held my attention. The still water seemed to be boiling. The bubbles were getting closer to the shore, near where I was sitting. I started moving backwards, startled by the increased and closeness of this strange happening.1

Abruptly, the bubbles ceased and this black figure appeared, blotting out the moonlight. Slowly with a lot of effort, it moved up from the shallows and onto the beach, only meters from where I was sitting.2

It passed without noticing me, I could see its black scaly skin glistening with the wetness of the water. Feeling frightened, I continued to watch in amazement. Its eyes were hidden behind a huge glass-like lens. Its feet, which were web-like, caused it to walk in long high-stepping strides. Feeling a shiver down my spine, I curled up and gazed upon its back. On its back, it carried two large, long round objects. These were hard to see in the twilight that had by now enveloped the beach.3

The creature moved up the beach and stopped near a flat area that was covered with a growth of short weeds.4

It removed the lens that covered its eyes. Straps across its chest were released with a loud click, and the large round objects were slowly lowered onto the sand.5

It turned and looked out towards to the sea from which it had just emerged. I could feel its vision falling upon me. It had sensed my presence. Then I could see it removing its web feet.6

The abnormal monstrosity started to move in my direction. My fear increased, I really and truly felt as if these precious moments were my last. How would it attack? What kind 7

of beast was this? How will I ever get through this? All these questions were zigzagging through my confused mind.8

I shut my eyes and tensed my muscles, preparing for the creature to devour me, when suddenly I heard ”You alright sugar?”9

As I looked up, I saw that my creature was actually a………….. scuba diver! As the diver removed the rubber mask, I realized that this was no ordinary diver. This was a beautiful blonde. Her hair had a beautiful coating of silvery salt water. My fear turned to embarrassment as I explained what my reaction was, to this late swimmer.10

With a tone of laughter in her voice she offered me a ride home, I reluctantly accepted thinking that she would make fun of me all through this trip, but how could I resist such an offer.11

“Well”, I said to myself “it could have been worse, I could have been devoured!” Thinking that, I exploded with a fit of laughter.12

Hahahahahahahaha saw it coming. It's cute, but the whole idea is comparable to one of my lame jokes. Mistaking a blonde scuba diver for some kind of sea creature... yeah ok?!

hehe. ^_^ This is cute. LOL. Now was this a dream or did this actually happen? I would think after being frightened half out of your mind by a blonde scuba diver you would have wanted to be devoured. i sure as hell would have wanted to be. But then again, like a told you, Im sorta a coward, the easier it is to get out of a situaation the more i consider it. I cant stay on though. You and your friend keep it rea, real sweet Chris.
