Push, push, skate. Push, push, skate. Look back. Fall off board. Get up. Push, push, skate. Push, push, skate. Look foward. Look back. Friend's yelling something. I'm doing it. Push, push-1
Then I'm not there. I'm on a stairway of somesort. I'm at the bottom, and the only way to go is up. One, two, three, four. I count. Hey, look. Another person appears. OMG I barf. The person walks on. Five, six, seven, eight. And another. This one looks like it has been hit by a ...car? Nine, ten, eleven. More people. Tweleve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen. And some more. "I jumped off the Golden State" one says. Bridge? I wonder. Sixteen, seventeen. "I was stabbed by a cop." says another. Eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty-one. I can't move. They all move up, up, up, but my legs won't move. Twen...no, they won't. Tey- I can't; two... help, I have to get to the top! A voice calls out. "No!" No what? "It's not your time."2
I wake up in a hospital. Apparently, I was hit by a car when I was learning how to skateboard. And apparently, that stairway I was on? Was the way to get to Heaven...

Its obvious that your story isn't taken from the actual song itself, but from the title.. As you say, you haven't listened to the song. Well, I'm not saying that's a bad thing when it comes to the story, but I really recommend listening to the song, as it's one of the greatest songs ever =D So, well, the story was good, and I liked the whole idea, but the whole thing seemed a bit rushed and a little raw..
That being said, I still liked it, and it's a good foundation for something bigger ;D
