Ode to a Toad


Many a poem1

Has been written2

About a cute and cuddly,3

Fluffy kitten.4

Everyday 5

A reader is smitten6

By a feline with fur7

That may fit in a mitten8

But has one thought 9

About everything10

Have they fought?11

For anything?12

If they say, “Yes”13

Obviously then,14

That is the lie15

Told over again16

If all were equal17

Then truly, “No”18

Would be a reply 19

For none has been written20

About something21

As different as this,22

Smaller than a kitten.23

No name can be given24

In a superior form than this:25

“Ode to a Toad”26

Author notes

I don't know why I wrote this, i just thought that if a person could write "Ode to a Toaster" I could write 'Ode to a Toad"
(Which is actually more about kittens than toads...)

    There should be more poems written to toads I think. They never get enough lime light. I stumbled across this poem sorta by accident but i did kinda like it. Keep up the good work hun.

    Yes it was. It was a very good poem; keep on writing. Don't doubt yourself! Lol. You should really keep on writing. I didn't see no grammar errors, which is a plus.
