Stars in the Sky

Stars in the Sky1

Once upon a time there was this gorgeous and radiant girl. She had the biggest beaming brown eyes in all the land of heaven. Anyone who was in her sight of vision loved her instantaneously and anyone could discern that she was a rare angel. 2

Until one day she was banned from the commodious land of her home. She was clueless to why she was reprehensible, but she waived to the wishes of her martinet, and left. Alone and squalid in the terror of chaos and interweaving thoughts, she could not obviate her fate. Bidding farewell to all she had known, she hid away near the turbulent and majestic wonders of the sea. Her sultry eyes were silently forgotten in the unforgivable depths of sorrows waters. And every long night a single star would loose it’s shine and quietly go out, evaporating into the mist far beyond the universe. The galaxy now somber, corrosive to itself, like poisoned by the voluminous tears of its pure earthly angel.3

It seemed as though the land was going through withdraw for her. As though, deep down in the slightest crack of earth’s core there was a tingling earthquake of knowledge for another person far off, but drowning in love for this angel. Unaware of this love for her, the angel lost all hope. Until one night, a lone peak of starlight shone in the abundant black sky. The angel, stunned by the light went to search for what could have caused such great light. She came to find a girl walking along the rim of the dark water. Appalled but not in a bad abhorring way, the angel could not believe her eyes, the girl was walking towards her and the dazzling glow came from the girls simple smile. As they neared each other the girls heart began to buffet with each crash of a wave. “She is beautiful,” they both thought at the same time. When the girl tried to speak her words came out all kooky crooked and jumbled, feeling as though she was writing a sentence without spaces. All she could do was graciously hold out her hand and whisper, “Don’t be sad my angel, I’ll take care of you. For forever.” 4

The beautiful angel began to feel a warm shiver up her spine. She did not know there were other extant angels on earth among her. Meeting this other girl began to amend her and heal her broken heart. Her eyes were lit up, but differently from what they once were, full of love and hope, instead of odium and fear. The angel began to glow like never before. On a peacefully calm night, when the stars were abundant in the sky and the waves made small swoosh sounds the girl looked directly into the angels eyes. Though sometimes there is nothing to say. Sometimes silence expresses more than words, but in this instance, on the quiet night. The girl whispered in the beautiful angel’s ear, “Angel, do you not know? How you put the stars in my sky” 5
